Swift comments on biblical principles and Jesus’ teachings
…quick expression about what the inerrant Bible teaches, relating to news in the headlines

*Daily News (1): More than half of US adults, 30% of evangelicals, believe Jesus isn’t God: study – The Christian Post https://www.christianpost.com/news/more-than-half-of-us-adults-30-of-evangelicals-believe-jesus-isnt-god-study.html

God came to earth as a man
So sad, that (in some churches) 30% of those around you in church  — are not going to heaven. We cannot assume our fellow attendees believe the truth that God came to earth as a man.  And THAT is an integral part of the Gospel of Jesus.

In fact, many pastors outright teach false doctrines like this from the pulpit, that “Jesus isn’t God“. Unbelievable! Why worship Jesus, if He is a mere puny man?  His death on the cross would then mean nothing.

“…Paul tells Timothy [1 Timothy 6: verses 2-5] that if there is someone teaching and insistent on practicing “a different doctrine” (v3) than his (which comes from “our Lord Jesus Christ” Himself), and “does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness” — then that person “is conceited and understands nothing” and has a “depraved mind”. Paul says that false teachers have “a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words” (v4).  – Source: Calling out false teachers

Last night my wife and I watched American Gospel – Christ Alone (2018 – on Netflix).  Very revealing! The 30% stat above does not surprise me.  Might be lowballing the actual percentage.  The movie exposes heresy all over America in popular churches and increasingly around the world.

Official “Christian” pastors are teaching the heresy that Jesus gave up all His deity to become a man.  According to these heretics, He was thus not God during his 33 years of ministry (according to their erroneous thinking). (We’ll deal with 1 John 4:1-6 down below.)

False teachings, not surprisingly, also are coming from the media, from unbelievers like CNN host Don Lemon.  See: Don Lemonites on Judgement Day.

Lemon was on “CNN Tonight” (July 2020) when he totally denied the basic tenet of Christianity, saying:

“Jesus Christ —
… if that’s who you believe in,
Jesus Christ — admittedly was not perfect
when he was here on this earth.”

“CNN’s Don Lemon
calling Jesus ‘not perfect’
is ‘blasphemy,’”
Mike Huckabee says in The Christian Post.

Fully God and fully man
Read the Bible.  God is holy.  That means “perfect”, without sin.  And Jesus was God. And that is the rub, what rubs the wrong way for the Lemons of the world: They do not believe God came in the flesh.

It is belittling to call a King – not a King.  It is a far worse thing to belittle God – saying Jesus was not God.  It is blasphemy.

The Bible teaches us that the second person of the Trinity, Jesus, came to earth 100% God Almighty.  He humbly, and wholly, took up the form of a human as 100% God and 100% man. I guess that made Him the first 200 percenter! And He remained a 200 percenter, both God and man.

And He arose 200% both, and slowly rose back up into Heaven above — 200% both, and will be coming back again unexpectedly – you guessed it, 200% both man and God.  Jesus never “un-deified himself”!  He manned up! Actually it would be better said, since, as God He is greater than a puny human man: Jesus manned-down!

Who is a heretic?
This following passage (1 John 4:1-6) clarifies for us who is a heretic or not: Any person who says God was not on earth as a man — “is not from God”.

2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.  – Verses 2-3 of 1 John 4:1-6

That defines a heretic.  The movie, American Gospel (on Netflix), quotes various charismatic pastors denying that Jesus did His ministry as God.  They say Jesus “emptied Himself” 100% of His diety.  That is not what the Apostle Paul says here at all.  Jesus remained God and man all throughout His 33 years on earth.  That makes these preachers — heretics, by Jesus definition.  Jesus:

“emptied Himself [without renouncing or diminishing His deity, but only temporarily giving up the outward expression of divine equality and His rightful dignity] by assuming the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men [He became completely human but was without sin, being fully God and fully man]. 8 After He was found in [terms of His] outward appearance as a man….”  – Verses 7-8 of Philippians 2:5-11

In the KJV the words are that He “made Himself of no reputation”, “took upon Him the form of a servant”, and “was made in the likeness of men”; “found in fashion as a man” and “humbled Himself….”

The Amplified says it correctly, that He was born “[without renouncing or diminishing His deity, but only temporarily giving up the outward expression of divine equality and His rightful dignity]”.  Jesus, “being made in the likeness of men [He became completely human but was without sin, being fully God and fully man].”

In the same Philippians 2:5-11 passage He says:

11 And that every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Many churchy attendees are listening to these heretics and the lost souls like Don Lemon.  And — being led astray.  They are missing-out on the greatest offer in the history of earth!  They are merely Hebrews 3 & 4 wannabees. (See: “Hebrews 3:6-19; Hebrews 4:1-16.)

“I-wannabe-in-heaven-but-I-aint-bowed-the-knee-yet” – fakers.

Tares. Not the true wheat. (Matthew 13:24-30)  So very, very scary, and sad, but true.

So, God come down to earth for us.  Jesus was the only perfect sacrifice (Hebrews 5:9-10), the only sacrifice to be good enough to be sacrificed in our place. No mere human could have qualified.

Only Jesus was perfect, is perfect.  He will evermore be perfect.  He is God.  The justice of God required a perfect sacrifice, or there would be no forgiveness.  Jesus died in our place in order for God to legally declare His followers “justified”.  This was accomplished in His Holy Heavenly Courts.  We can now be born again.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again [b from above] he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

4 Nicodemus *said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born [c from above]again.’  – John 3:3-7

At that moment of salvation, true believers are, in that moment of full repentance and surrender, declared NOT condemned:

Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].  – Romans 8:1

No longer, never ever again, will it ever be possible for God to put us under His Heavenly, Just, Sentence of Condemnation, for He Himself has declared us free, free indeed, forevermore. “God said it, I believe it, and that settles it, for me.”  Absolutely nothing…

“…will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  – Verse 39 of Romans 8:33-39

Hebrews 10:1-18 reveals to us that Jesus was our one time good enough forever sacrifice. He gave Himself as a sacrifice “once for all”.  No need for the repeated sacrifices of the old Judaic system (which looked forward to the Perfect One who would be the Perfect Sacrifice for all).

Only through Jesus can we be born again and thus qualified immediately for Heaven.  In that precise moment we become citizens of Heaven, just ‘a passin’ through this earth.

14 For by the one offering He has perfected forever and completely cleansed those who are being sanctified [bringing each believer to spiritual completion and maturity].”  – Verse 14 of Hebrews 10:1-18

Stay away from the churches full of heresy.  There are some near where you live, most likely. See who they are here: False teachings of today – a series [ Calling out false teachers; The Bethel  Johnsons’ unbiblical teachings; Counterfeit spirit of god; False Prophets; Bentley – News on Todd Bentley; Delusion is absolutely irrational, stupid and foolish]

Are you a 30% not going to heaven?  It’s not too late to accept the real Jesus.

I think faith will not be necessary in heaven. ¨…Now we see in a glass darkly…¨ (1 Corinthians 13:12)  but not later, when we will then be able to see ¨face to face¨.    Scripture says that ¨now¨these three abide (faith, hope, love…1 Corinthians 13:13), but it implies in the context that later (being in […]
