Be strong in the Lord

We are the nation of God – on earth.

The nation that is strong
is the “Determination“

We must determine to be strong in the Lord – in His strength, actually actively in His Spirit.  Or else we walk in the flesh, in our own weakness, and fail Him.

Genesis 12:2  Amplified Bible (AMP)
And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you [abundantly], And make your name great (exalted, distinguished); And you shall be a blessing [a source of great good to others]
1 Peter 2:9   Amplified Bible (AMP)
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Life is a choice.  I can choose to be weak and walk in the flesh.  Or I can choose to walk in the Spirit who resides in me, in all His followers… and be strong spiritually.  We are strong in His Spirit alone.

Joshua 1:9  Amplified Bible (AMP)
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Ephesians 6:10  Amplified Bible (AMP) 
10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might.

Want to be great in God’s Kingdom?  Jesus said it:

 18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 He called a little child and set him before them, 3 and said,
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent [that is, change your inner self—your old way of thinking, live changed lives] and become like children [trusting, humble, and forgiving], you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself [a  I.e. turns his back on self-righteous pride and adopts a realistic self-view] like this child – is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
– Matthew 18:1-4
