Many Christians are satisfied if they are doing something —others wish to feel sure that they are doing much; but few admit the obligation, or make serious efforts, to do all they can.

Who do you think you are? That’s a good question. A better one is: Who does God think you are? God tells us a lot of things in the Bible. One, is that He values those He has created. You are of such great worth that God became a human for you, died on a […]
What would you trade… for eternal happiness and good? Are you content to keep ¨what you have now…¨ and give up eternal happiness and good? Is this ¨thing¨ you value so much in this life – worth giving up eternal happiness and good? Do you truly value eternal happiness and good? If you value […]
Can you explain to someone else what the Bible requires for salvation? Paul wrote to make sure we know.
Who we are matters. What we say we believe, matters less. This is easy to understand. In a court of law, does it really matter (at all) that the killer says he did not do it, if the dead body is found with his DNA on it and three credible witnesses say they saw him […]
The Holy Spirit restrains evil. For now. But the day will come when those restraints will be loosed. Can you imagine what your city will look like, when evil is unrestrained: your neighborhood, your PTA, your local road driving etiquettes, your state lawmakers, your governor’s oversight, your congressional laws passed, your presidential degrees? 2 Thessalonians […]
We do not HAVE TO let sin reign over us. If you are born again, the next basic choice is to choose to sin or choose to obey Jesus.
If I were to let sin reign in my body, then — what a mess. But I don’t let it. I am not “these things”. I am strong in Him. Only in Him.
I want to know what Jesus thinks. I want to follow Jesus. Just Jesus. I want to know what He Himself says. Preachers: stop giving me your thinking. Give me Jesus.
What an incredibly peaceful, easy feeling I have in my inner soul. The Bible tells me I am right with God. I have been born again. I am a new creature now, changed by God, made brand new — and I have nothing to fear, for God is my Savior. There is nothing more I need, for God Himself has made me His child.
12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put […]
consider the members of your earthly body as dead to…
What is worth losing your soul over? I can think of one answer.
The lovely, lilting song, one of my all-time favorites, (listen on YouTube:) “Dream A Little Dream Of Me“, illustrates how so many live their life. always dreaming always longing nite is fading but they’re still longing A life lived dreaming and longing, is a life unfulfilled, wasted and worthless in the end. And in the […]
All over the world people are having dreams of Jesus appearing to them personally in their sleep. They are even conversing back and forth with Jesus in dreams! God is using dreams and visions today.
There are a few things in life that you sure as hell need to fear. Ever really thought about this?
The plan of God for the ages has been shown to us in the God-inspired writings collected into the book called the Bible. If we draw near, if we read for ourselves, if we examine the truths therein — it is then clear what God has been doing throughout the history of mankind, and we […]
It will make a world of difference which “god” you choose to follow. “It may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.”
I´ve got to want it, to get it. I never get anywhere unless I want it. I’ve got to want it – to get anything in life. Beyond the randomness, beyond those matters beyond my control, the reality is that much of life is a choice.
There is no hope without Creator God as Savior of our soul. I’m joyful, full of hope because – when I bowed my knee that day – He made me brand new. He lives in me!
One in thirty New Testament passages refer either directly or indirectly to the Second Coming of “the King of kings and Lord of lords.” (Rev 19:11-16) Twenty-three of the twenty-seven NT books mention that He is coming again. Finally, for every biblical reference to Jesus’ First Coming there are eight that point to His return! Clearly Jesus’ Second Coming is a truth which the Spirit desires for Christ’s Bride to frequently ponder
Who on earth do you think you are? One day we will all stand before God. If we are born again, He is our Daddy (“Abba”), and we will be home! But, whether you believe in Him or not – He is our Creator God. And He, not you, will be calling the shots. Ready for that?
The dumb lamb is exactly what God created him to be. And I tend to think that God created the lamb, as-is, in order to illustrate to us just how we look! God characterizes us Christians as lambs, and the Devil as a roaring lion – seeking to devour us. Still thinking you are invincible?
What do you think of others? Do you size-them-up: know their sins and think less of them, or think they are great because you like how they look or like how much they have? Remember that God does not wait for us to be perfect. He wants us to come to Him just as we are, now. Even so, even as Christ, no matter the sin – we love the sinner. There is no excuse for us to put-down another. There is no sin too great – nothing that God cannot forgive.
My 3 year old grandson, Levi, was busily building log contraptions on the floor of our living room after Christmas. Two little older cousins were also there playing. We adults were chatting at the dining table nearby. Out of the blue Levi says, “Hey guys, did you know that Jesus died on a cross for […]
