It is not of God to say “this is a word from the Lord” when what you say are merely your own words. “God is against you” if you practice that.
I am well in my soul
Verse 12 of Philippians 3:12-16 “Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own.” I live in a […]
Coming from God?
Are you prone to claiming “God gave me these words to share”?
My needy, needy soul
My needy, needy soul needs to stay close to Creator God who formed me. We all do, wouldn’t you agree? God our Maker is still very involved in His creation, still. He desires to be intimately involved.
Living Daily with gentleness and respect
So what’s it going to be today? Anger, sadness, loneliness, depression, despair? Or will you be “full-up”… filled up with “hope and confident assurance” (1 Peter 3:15)?
Forget about it
What do you do with the sins of your past? Paul says, I am continually, consciousely, purposely forgetting all those things of my past, what is behind me. I leave them back there, behind me. And now — I press on.
I’ve got that joy
I’ve got that joy. Do “you greatly rejoice”, and “delight with inexpressible and glorious joy”? You can. But “you must be born again” (Jesus said).
Road Sign: God is at work up ahead
We are surely in a wild and confusing age. The world seems to be caught-up in a whirlwind of evil, totally out of control. But the reality is: God Himself is the real controller.
The message of salvation spoken by Jesus to Paul
Jesus spoke this to Paul on the road to Damascus – one short verse that explains the Gospel of salvation in Jesus, in Acts 26:18.
The non-stop work of God inside you and me
Did you know that God is at work? He is working non-stop inside you and me and all us puny mud men humans that He keeps creating.
Who you going to call?
In times of trouble, of worry and doubt — “Who you going to call?” I call on the name of the Lord Jehovah
Every believer’s new life in Christ [Part One]
Because God is extreme to the nth degree – God requires an extreme type of relationship from us. Once we get born again, we will continue growing deeply, naturally, into further maturity in Christ. The wonder of passing from being “God-damned” to being “marvelously saved by Jesus”. Oh how marvelous this journey!
Growing into our natural new life in Christ
Growing is what should be happening after we are “born again”, Paul says. The natural response to Christ is to grab hold of the good soil – and flourish. Ephesians 1 is about flourishing, germinating naturally, sprouting strong and stable.
Why the Bible
The Bible is like no other book. Have you read it lately? It was put together by God to communicate Himself to us. He did this through prophets separated by hundreds of miles, over the course of hundreds of years. Bible predictions are accurate.
The Good Fruit List
Wow. I want this. I want this inside my insides, streaming from my soul. Excerpt from: Good Fruit The Good Fruit List This is what God produces in us: love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. – […]
Who is this God?
Most people believe there is a God. What about you? Who is your god? Is He truly the God of the Universe? Or, have you just sort of ended-up with this made-up creation of yours that you call “my God”? Or maybe you’ve allowed some other people to sort of lure you into their version of god? If I end up following some “god” of my own making – how stupid will that be in the end when I am face to face with the One who is really God?
A worthy life
Am I supportive of the souls I meet… every day, every meeting of the souls? Or do I dim their soul (put out their light) with my merciless condemnations? I’m not where I want to be, but I’m getting there, one step at a time.
Romans 8:25-28. Hope in Christ
Romans 8:25-28 Amplified Bible (AMP) 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure. Our Victory in Christ 26 In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer […]
Hope in Christ
Imagine a personal friend so close he is available instantly. Anytime anywhere he will help you with anything on your mind.
Rely on the Spirit of God in you
It is the Holy Spirit that begins a new work in us – from the very moment of salvation in Christ. And God promises that He continues that good work in us all the way through to His return. What an amazing mystery, that Almighty God would choose to somehow enter His creation. He does not “lower Himself” nor condescend nor stoop… to do so. It is in His very nature to love us so. God is love and humbleness — in the same breath with His Omnipotence and unequaled Awesomeness.
About the Holy Spirit

(Links take you away to BibleGateway… keeping this window open.) 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 2:5; Revelation 2:7; Revelation 2:11; Revelation 2:17; 1 John 3:9; 1 John 4:2; 1 John 4:3; 1 John 4:6; 1 John 5:1; 2 Peter 1:21; 1 Peter 1:3; 1 Peter 1:23; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Peter 1:3; 2 Timothy 1:7; […]
God as Man – the short version
…the chronology of God the Son Of course – God is eternal, and existed, well, since forever. Try wrapping your mind around that truth: timeless forever! The promised Messiah, God’s Son (One of the three-in-one Trinity) was sent to earth by God the Father way back in the year 1, (well, it should have been […]
Counterfeit spirit of god
Counterfeit Christianity is growing. Do you know the Bible well enough to spot a counterfeit church? Are you into one – yourself? The Bible warns of “seducing spirits” within the church “in later times“. It warns about those church leaders who teach and delve into non-biblical practices. Beware of fake charismatic churches and pastors who […]
Needing something more than Jesus
If in your faith in Christ — you are also needing something more than Jesus, then you are most likely being led astray, taught by a counterfeit charismatic movement leader or a New Age church. These charming charmers, false teachers, “turn away from the faith, paying attention instead to deceitful and seductive spirits and doctrines of demons”.
Are You Ready, Steady and Able?
In our walk as believers, the biblical norm we aspire towards as Christians is an extremely high standard. In fact, it is an impossible norm – unless we are consistently filled with the Holy Spirit. Are you? The only way we can be who we truly are in Christ – is to be filled by His Spirit.
The Holy Spirit in You?
When we accept Christ, the whole universe becomes our family domain! We become a child of Creator God. Our new life, spirit and soul, begins eternal life as the Holy Spirit of God, part of the “three in one” mysterious Triune God, takes up residence in our body.
Inexhaustible Patience
“…with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching.” You got it? INexhaustible patience? In our relations with other people, and especially those of the faith, the norm we aspire towards as Christians — is totally unreachable without the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through us. Quite a high standard! 2 Timothy 4:2 Amplified Bible […]
Mold me as an instrument of use
Want to be put to good use – by God? Pray like this…
God Is Not Distant
God is not some far away, distant-from-you, dis-concerned bubble of energy, inside some aura of mist on a mysterious planet far far away in a different galaxy. Star Trek might lead one to believe that! But the Bible says that Creator God created us to walk and talk with us, to commune with us, like He did with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:8).
Children of God
A common misconception out there is that, since God created us all – then all of us are his children, “children of God”. Nothing could be further from the truth, actually. The normal human is actually born into a state of separation from God. Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of […]
