Denying Jesus?

January 10, 2023 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

You don’t have to be an unrepentant monster like Hitler to deny Jesus. Just neglect to follow Jesus – leave Jesus’ ways a ways away. Maybe fake it, be one of the enlightened folks who say one thing but act another. Or, choose to sincerely follow Jesus.

Pretending their word is God’s word

January 12, 2022 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

It’s crazy how so many have tried in the past, and are still doing it – “re-interpreting” or discovering some “personal or special” interpretation (2 Peter 1:19-21),  attempting to legitimize a new creative way to have it their way.  If that is happening in your church – don’t believe it.  It is our “job”, our responsibility, as followers of Christ – to use the Bible to ascertain what is of God and what are “the words of a puny human” (we are all “puny humans”).  Huge difference. I personally do not want to hear some puny opinions when I go to church.  I want to hear God’s “word of truth”.

Mark them which cause divisions …and avoid them

February 5, 2021 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

It is totally biblical to name names and call-out false teachers, phoney baloney prophets, and false movements. We are encouraged to know well the doctrines of the Bible, so that we ourselves are capable of recognizing when teachers  go astray from them.  We are warned that teachers will go beyond what Scripture so clearly states, (giving us “Beyond the Burger” varieties).

Being 100% given-over to Jesus

December 11, 2020 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

Being faithful to Jesus – that is what we want, right?  Being faithful – when the Rapture happens?  (I really want to go on that ride!) I live for Jesus, and that is why I live with confidence.  How ’bout you?  Accepting Jesus- plus some other is totally rejected by Jesus.  That “other gospel” faith is the road that leads to the other place, not to God’s Home Heaven.

Seeing clearly now

October 15, 2020 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

Seeing clearly now in these End Times is so very difficult.  Misinformation floods our mind threatening to throw our thinking every which way. Sound doctrine, what God has made so very clear for us – gets distorted by false teachers.  And the call of the wild beckons.  The enemies of our soul are always camping at the gates. To remain faithful to the end, we followers of Jesus must regularly examine ourselves, ask penetrating questions deep inside our insides.

The Passion Translation (TPT) and why not to use it

September 7, 2020 by Keith Swift Leave a Comment

The translation done by Brian Simmons, called The Passion (TPT), is not a faithful translation of the original.  It is very much fraught with misleading words Simmons adds into the text (…”it is at least 50% longer than the original”).  Good Christians should want to go to more accurate translations, and not ever use this deviant version.  It has been so adulterated that it is not God’s Word.

The charismatic movement has been troubled by unbiblical practices and teachings. I am amazed at how folks are so easily mislead. “Many have exchanged the truth for a lie and chosen experience over content.” Look and examine and see, and compare with what the Bible teaches.

No Faith In Heaven

Inexplicable Joy

Heaven is a joyful place. That is hard for me to imagine… Everywhere I look around me, I see so many problems, issues and unresolved conflicts. But in heaven, they won’t exist anymore. The word “joy” has a much deeper meaning than just happiness. To be happy can change so quickly. It can come and go in a moment. But joy…

About Biblical Inerrancy

Would God give us erroneous documents and call them “His”? Dumb idea! God brought everything together to form the Bible. Evidence is overpowering as you read what the Bible is, and what it tells us. “It is the history of the Bible that makes it unique among ‘sacred texts.’ See who wrote the Bible, how its reportive style is backed by archeology and historians…” – Quote from “Why You Can Believe the Bible” (www.everystudent.com).
