Some church folk, nowadays, are working fervently to “bring-in” the kingdom of God. They expect God to make the world a better place now.
However, Scripture tells us plain and true: That is not happenin’. No need for that! “The kingdom of God is among you” (Luke 17:20-21).
We should not build Kingdom Come theologies. 1
The Kingdom of God is inside us
20 Now having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed or with a visible display; 21 nor will people say, ‘Look! Here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For the kingdom of God is among you [because of My presence].” – Luke 17:20-21
“For the kingdom of God is among you [because of My presence].”
The Kingdom of God is inside us, each of us who have been born again. Why/How? Because the Holy Spirit resides permanently inside us from that moment in time of rebirth.
The Church works to help in times of need. We are the most charitable people on the globe. But our goal is to win folks to eternal salvation in Jesus. The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings the Kingdom of God into people. Through the Holy Spirit (part of the Trinity) Jesus is inside all believers… bringing the Kingdom to earth!
The earth will not see itself getting better — until Jesus returns, destroys His enemies at Armegeddon, and THEN establishes His Millennium Rule on earth.
