What a tragic error to think you are – but you really are not. Think you are saved – but are not. An eternity is in the balance here folks. Verify yours. What does Scripture say about it?
Hebrews 6:4-6
Hebrews 6 speaks of “the case of” tragic almost saved folk who never made the final decision. They “tasted” and liked what Jesus has done in others, but never accepted all of Jesus. They fell short of the 100% “all in” for Jesus.
Better is thinking with God’s Word
Are you “an abandoned construction site… piles of stuff, bits and pieces strewn around, ugly windows gaping holes….” Thinking with the thousands around you, with their traditions deep in media, popular, sung and preached? Better is thinking with God’s Word.
Conform or Resist the pressures
Can people in the dark see your light. You standing up for Jesus? Standing strong against evil is a norm in Christian living. I want to be a more righteous person. I refuse to conform to the enemies of our soul. How about you?
The tragic error many live in all their life
The simple plan of God for your salvation is to actually “Believe in the name of Jesus” and follow Him. You can live the way you want – or give your life to the gatekeeper of Heaven — Jesus. “I did it my way” (like Frank Sinatra sang it) is not going to be heard in Heaven… only in Hell.
What We Are To Be
All in one passage, Romans 12, Paul presents a thorough explanation of what God is expecting of those who want to be a true Christian. The message of James is the same: we’ve got to back-up our talk with our walk.
