Christ offers us His “iron-clad” humongous type of salvation… or, on the flip-side, this article could be titled… “The limits of what God will do for sinners”.
How do I get to Heaven?
So you want to go to Heaven. Jesus promised Heaven for those who follow Him. He does not include anyone else in His promise. Other religions make promises they can never keep. Do you want to entrust your eternity into the hands of puny humans? Only Jesus saves.
God wants us all to be saved
We are natural born sinners on a road away from God. You can stay on it, and end up far, far away. But God wants all to be saved. John 3:16.
About Sin
Key truths about sin as taught in the Bible. What is sin, and what is God’s stance about it?
Flesh and blood absolutely cannot inherit the Kingdom of God
So you want to go to Heaven. The Bible tells us so much about God’s Home Heaven. God created us inside a physical world. Here we are limited by time and space. But Heaven is in the spirit world dimension where Father God dwells.
He will go before me
What path are you on? (1) “…walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example]” or (2) “And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].”
This is Salvation in Christ
It’s a very simple message from God, actually – what He expects of us. His message is to all of us — us sinful, willful, rebellious, self-centered creatures. God is asking you and me to repent.
The ABCs of Salvation
Are you ready to meet your Maker? Here are three steps to salvation in Jesus.
God eventually gives you a free rein
Come close to God – before He can not be found. “He will let you find Him.” It’s your choice. However, eventually He will release you to walk your own way. He will stop trying. And soon, it’s too late.
About the Holy Spirit
What does the Bible teach us about the Holy Spirit? He came to earth to work powerfully – after Jesus was resurrected and returned to Heaven.
Limited Grace
Salvation in Christ is not a willy-nilly “free for all” gift bin. The Gospel of Christ is not a “come one, come all” offer by God. No. You must be born again.
I have hope
…I have hope – because God is good. He will not let me down. I am a brand new creation in Christ! Excerpt… Lamentations 3:verses 20-26 Amplified Bible (AMP) 20 My soul continually … is bowed down within me. 21 But this I call to mind, Therefore I have hope. 22 It is because of […]
Accepting Jesus – Plus Some Other
Do you acknowledge the dissidence between your “want-a-be” and your whatch-ya-be? The truth is you can’t have it both ways. Salvation in Christ is what it is. God has shared His Way with us. It is not “whatever you make it to be”. Salvation is not something you make up for your own convenience. Are you saved by God? Or are you hoping your own way will be good enough?
Hebrews 10:19-25
As believers, we can boldly go where few were able to go before. We can boldly enter into God’s very presence through prayer! This is part of the New Covenant: “a new and living way” we can now relate to God because of Jesus death and resurrection. See: Hebrews 10:19-25
God Is Not Distant
God is not some far away, distant-from-you, dis-concerned bubble of energy, inside some aura of mist on a mysterious planet far far away in a different galaxy. Star Trek might lead one to believe that! But the Bible says that Creator God created us to walk and talk with us, to commune with us, like He did with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:8).
Psalm 59:1
“Oh, my God….” – Psalm 59:1
Following
Where’ you going? Are you truly “following” Christ? This is what it means to be “a follower” of the real Jesus Christ…
Children of God
A common misconception out there is that, since God created us all – then all of us are his children, “children of God”. Nothing could be further from the truth, actually. The normal human is actually born into a state of separation from God. Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of […]
Getting Born Again
Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” In God’s legal system, all of mankind is condemned to hell because we are naturally unable to be holy [“holy” = without sin]. He cannot have sin in His Kingdom. Makes sense: He is holy! His choice – because of His nature. However, He loved us so much that He provided legal forgiveness for any who choose to follow Him. Quite simple, actually.
Colossians 3:12-17
12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put […]
That Moment In Time
There is a certain moment in time when everything changes, when a mere human is transformed by God into a completely different type of human. That moment changes everything for that person. Nothing is the same anymore. A new creature has been born – really and truly “born again” into new life in Christ. This magic moment!
Being Christian
What’s it like these days to be a Christian? Really a Christian. For many, what the Bible teaches is generally okay, but, when it comes to certain specificities, what it says, they reason, needs to be interpreted in the light of today’s enlightened realities. But — will that work in – The End – when we stand before Him, physically? Stop and think about that Day.
