Jesus was a man who really did walk the earth, from the years 0-33 AD. There is no doubt whatsoever that he really existed, because the historical evidences are overwhelming – proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was born of Mary and Joseph, in Bethlehem.
This man claimed to be the Messiah, God-in-the-flesh, sent by God the Father to pay the penalty for the sins of mankind. In God’s heaven, His justice system condemned all humans. In His justice system, the only way for God to forgive any human – was for a perfect substitute to die in their place.
By dying on the cross way back in the year 33AD, God provided a way for each of us to get out from under His just condemnation. In God’s system, we are doomed to hell for all eternity – unless we individually act on God’s free gift of salvation in Christ.
So what have you done about this? Being in denial will not save you in the end. Claiming innocence before the Judge does not carry any weight in God’s courts of law. We will not be judged by any earthly system or belief system we have set up. Only God will have His way in the end.
Still in denial? Still so trapped in your belief system that what Jesus Himself taught – makes no difference to you?
