What is “acting wickedly”? Jesus mentions this in Matthew:
23And then I will say to them openly (publicly),
I never knew you;
depart from Me,
you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].
– Matthew 7:23
The Judge of All will define what it is. Is your definition the same as His? Or do you hope to stand before Him on That Day, and rebutt Holy God? Like…
No. You are wrong, god. I do not define “acting wickedly” like you do. Let me explain it to you. To me, god, acting wickedly is this…
[and you make your rebuttal – which is all …blah, blah, blah, blather, blather, spin, excuse, philosophize, snow job, attempt to bamboozle, denial, arrogance, narcissistic, egocentric, self-applauding, individualistic, willingly uninformed, counterargumenting, stubborn, rebellious, blind as a bat, elephant-in-the-room thinking]!
So, god, let’s talk this over and maybe you can come to understand that my choices and rights, my actions and lifestyle, my world view —- are totally fine.
Even then, do you think you might be an ultra egocentric, bloveating…? What is your “way of perceiving”?
“Egocentrism is the inability to differentiate between self and other. More specifically, it is the inability to untangle subjective schemas from objective reality; an inability to understand or assume any perspective other than their own.” -Babylon.com
Schemas: “a mental codification of experience that includes a particular organized way of perceiving cognitively and responding to a complex situation or set of stimuli.” -Babylon.com
Elephant in the room: “elephant in the living room, serious problem or disputable issue which is obviously present but is avoided and ignored because it is easier to do so or is convenient for other party.” -Babylon.com
Stand before God Almighty…? I don’t think so. Even you will be trembling, on bended knees and bowed heart, in total despair, without excuse, speechless. God-damned.
Acting wickedly is
- giving our life to anything less than wholly to God
- giving our allegiance to anyone, any belief, any religion – other than Jesus the Christ
- walking sold-out to what is contrary to Scripture
- having a mind set on the flesh
The world, the flesh, and the Devil are set against God. All three want you to – be what you want to be, do what you want to do, live how you want to live, don’t give God a second thought.
Acting Righteously
Based on 1 Kings 8: verses 58 and 61,
(follow notes a-g down to the verses below)
We are not saved by doing good or acting right. We are saved only by grace through faith. And even though we are no longer under Old Testament laws, commandments, statutes and ordinances – even so, even under grace with salvation in Christ, the New Testament shows us clearly what is obedience and what is sin.
Acting righteously is
- Looking to God to “incline our hearts to Himself” (v58)
- To actually walk in all His ways (v58)
- To keep His commandments, statutes and ordinances (v58)
- Pray to God unceasingly for your needs and others, day and night (“supplication”) (v59)
- Share the Gospel of Jesus with everyone (v60)
- Having our hearts wholly yielded to Holy God (v61)
- Walking the walk of obedience to all His ways (v61)
– 1 Kings 8: verses 58-61
a that He may incline our hearts to Himself,
b to walk in all His ways
c and to keep His commandments
and His statutes and His ordinances,
which He commanded our fathers.
d And may these words of mine,
with which I have made supplication before the Lord,
be near to the Lord our God day and night,
that He may maintain the cause of His servant
and the cause of His people Israel,
as each day requires,
e so that all the peoples of the earth may know
that the Lord is God; there is no one else.
…f Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted
to the Lord our God,
g to walk in His statutes
and to keep His commandments,
as at this day.”
There still is hope this side of the grave. We do not have to go kicking and screaming, or go out with a whimper. We can make peace with God our Creator. God provided “a way of escape” through what Jesus did. Jesus saved me. He can save you. He can save anyone, this side of the grave.
His Heavenly Courts can forever declare you “Set free”, forever never to be under any kind of condemnation or sentence of hell. Pray to God now.

56 “Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised; not one word has failed of all His good promise, which He promised through Moses His servant. 57 May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us or forsake us, 58 that He may incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His ordinances, which He commanded our fathers. 59 And may these words of mine, with which I have made supplication before the Lord, be near to the Lord our God day and night, that He may maintain the cause of His servant and the cause of His people Israel, as each day requires, 60 so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no one else. 61 Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.” – 1 Kings 8: verses 56-61
