Death is quite the non-respecter of us puny humans, is it not? 1 “First you’re born. Then you die.”
We die. That’s it, for earth time. Done. Finito. Period. Then starts one of two options:
(1) The eternity of Hell by God, without any of God’s good, or
(2) God’s Home Heaven, with no time constraints.
Yes. Death is coming. But, there is One who has had victory over death — the Godman Jesus the Messiah. He conquered sin and the grave (Romans 8:34-39; 1 Corinthians 15:54-57).
“Death is swallowed up in victory
(vanquished forever).
55 O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
– Verses 54-55 of – 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 2
54 And when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the Scripture will be fulfilled that says, “Death is swallowed up in victory (vanquished forever). 55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.
– 1 Corinthians 15:54-57
Because of His victory, there will come a day soon where some on earth, still alive, having not suffered death — will be rescued (Daniel 12:1; Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9) and never see death (1 Thessalonians 1:10). I want to be one of those!
We will be with Jesus soon!
Jesus promises an end time Rapture. And the Bible tells us all about how to be ready for Jesus.
Are you ready? You can be. Forever ready!
And then… it’s just a matter of whether we are lucky enough to be still living when He hits the earth again – this time to gather us up to be with Him in the air, thus “cheating death” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). That is 100% up to His timing (“the first things have passed away….” Revelation 21:4).
What a glorious day that will be! 3
So, the Psalmist asked:
“What man can live and not see death?”
Absolutely no man in the flesh.
But, the mystery of the Gospel which was revealed when the “Messiah was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23-25; Luke 1:34-35), has the ultimate answer: Only those who are truly in Christ at His appearing will NOT.
What man
can live and not see death?
Can he
deliver his soul
from the power
of Sheol?
Selah.
– Psalm 89:48
You yourself, and whatever philosophy of life you turn to… absolutely cannot “deliver [your] soul from the power of [Hell]“. Only Jesus saves. Only He can deliver your soul “from the power of [Hell]”. Your choice, my friend.

Why Believe Such Stupididiotic Things?! …Do you know what the Bible REALLY says about eternity after death? Or will you continue covering your ears and saying “la la la la la” to drown-out the doubts?
