Death, for the obstinate stiff-necked sinner
I kind of imagine that, at death, the dead obstinate stiff-necked sinner will experience a sudden flash of realization of his final destination. In the ether-like atmosphere between earth and the afterlife, he/she will gasp out, “Oh damn!”
What kind of sinner are you?
For all the unForgiven, the truth will finally come into focus and then they flop-drop into God’s Court for that final judgement. They will have a flash thought: “That God really is a Damning God! And here I am in front of Him.”
The “sting of death” will not just be the punishment of the fires of Hell. It will be the anguish of having known of God’s love and mercy long ago, and rejected it.
