When I pray
I always want
to have no sin
nothing separating
me from God
I am short of holy
in need of His cleansing
so what I do is
confess anew
thank Him He’s accepted me
glory in His love and grace
I repent of any thing
displeasing Him
reject my sins as sin
turn away from all wrong
right here right now
I turn away from
each and every one of them
and allow Him to be my Lord

search me show me cleanse me
keep me in the Way Everlasting
thank You
I belong to Jesus
then I know that I am holy
set apart completely
nothing now is in the way
that peaceful easy feeling
floods my soul

to trust in Jesus

I start my day
I live my day
I end my day to sleep
what a comfort
oh what peace
every moment of the day and night
my Father cares for me
I am His for ‘ey ever
and He is mine

We love the first part of this promise, but often overlook the rest of it:
1 John 5:14
This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us.
The verse does not stop at “ask anything”. Because God is Unique to the inth degree, there is a spiritual specificity, a natural order, and proper procedure to approaching the Holy Presence of our Most Holy God. Have we maybe lost that awareness?
