During The Great Tribulation the world will suffer the pouring-out of God’s indignation and wrath.
“In the Bible we read of a period of unexampled warfare, distress and suffering which is to break upon this troubled world. It is called
“The Great Tribulation” (Matthew 24:21-22, 29-30; Mark 13:24; Revelation 7:14);
“the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 12:1);
“the Day of the Lord” (Isaiah 13:9; Joel 2:1; Amos 5:18,20; Zephaniah 1:14-18; 2 Thessalonians 2:2; Revelation 6:12-17); and
“the day of vengeance of our God” (Isaiah 61:2).
It will be the darkest period of the world’s history…”

However, God’s wrath (Luke 21:36 and Revelation 3:10-11) will never be poured out on His followers. Ever. His wrath is reserved for those who are under His condemnation. We (believers) are no longer under condemnation. So we are safe now, and we will be safe later. Halellujah!
Romans 8:1
Therefore there is
now
no
condemnation
[no guilty verdict, no punishment]
for those who are in Christ Jesus
[who believe in Him
as personal Lord and Savior].
Hold to this truth: Believers are safe from God’s wrath.
- His forgiveness puts us safely in His Hands forever.
- Our salvation saved us from His wrath, forever.
- Don’t let yourself fear His wrath.
- Fear God! (…as in “extremely respect Him”) But do not ever succumb to the Enemy‘s words of doubt and fear.
9 For God didn’t appoint us to wrath,
but to the obtaining of salvation
through our Lord Jesus Christ”
– 1 Thessalonians 5:9 WEB
Not only does the Bible teach that we are no longer under His wrath now, but it also teaches that …we will escape His wrath that is coming to the earth during The Great Tribulation. Why on earth would we go through His wrath? Why would we experience that wrath in any way?!
now
no
condemnation
[no guilty verdict, no punishment]
We who are “found worthy” will “escape all these things that are going to take place”. Jesus said, “I will keep you [safe] from the hour of trial, that hour which is about to come on the whole [inhabited] world….” The Rapture will take us all off the globe. 1
Luke 21:25-36. Look up for your redemption is quickly approaching.
28 And when these things
begin to come to pass,
then look up,
and lift up your heads;
for your redemption draweth nigh.”
– Luke 21:28 King James Version
In the context here, “your redemption” is your being raptured up to be with your Savior!
36 But keep alert at all times [be attentive and ready], praying that you may have the strength and ability [to be found worthy and] to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man [at His coming].”
– Luke 21:36
10 Because you have kept the word of My endurance [My command to persevere], I will keep you [safe] from the hour of trial, that hour which is about to come on the whole [inhabited] world, to test those who live on the earth. 11 I am coming quickly. Hold tight what you have, so that no one will take your crown [by leading you to renounce the faith].
– Revelation 3:10-11
Keep your oil filled, your lamps lit. Be alert, ready. Jesus is coming back soon.
