We all wish we could know the future. Isn’t that frustrating? Urrggh.
At times we all wish we could know the will of God. But that’s not happenin’ folks. Well, not in the natural. The future is unknown for all humans. And only God knows His mind and His will.
“…no one
knows
the thoughts of God
except the Spirit of God”
– 1 Corinthians 2:10-16 (verse 11)
Also see: Isaiah 40:13
At times in the past God has revealed the future through His Spirit, through prophecies. We have them in the Bible. It is through the Spirit of God that we know “the thoughts of God” (v11). Through the Bible the Spirit can help us “to be guided by His thoughts and purposes” (v16).
we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes] (v16)
We know the will of God in this
From the Bible, there is one thing (among many in the Bible) which we know is absolutely the will of God. What is that?
“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [which represents all that Jesus Christ is and does], so that you will know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have eternal life.” – 1 John 5:13 AMP
50 For whoever [a – A universal offer without restriction.] does the will of My Father who is in heaven [by believing in Me, and following Me] is My brother and sister and mother.” – Matthew 12:50
This is absolutely His will
God saves for all eternity those who truly believe in His Name. That is a sure thing. We know this is absolutely His will.
However, to “Believe” means: Those who repent, accept Jesus as Lord, and continue-on in this faith by following Him (do His will) – those who’s heart is 100% given over to Him.
God saves
for all eternity
those who truly believe in His Name.
God wants us all to be saved
God wants us all to be saved (John 3:11-18). He gives us all the opportunity that we need. But only the few who actually repent and follow Him, are. The word “whoever” means – everyone. “Whosoever will may come.” The offer is open, still. (References: Matthew 10:32 KJV; Matthew 12:50). I’ll repeat the promise:
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [which represents all that Jesus Christ is and does], so that you will know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have eternal life.
– 1 John 5:13 AMP
Have you felt that “tingle” in your ears?
When God speaks truth, “whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle”. When you hear something striking, such as “the still small voice” of God… if you are listening you will hear and it’s as if your ears tingle with it.
Jeremiah 19:3 KJV
And say, Hear ye the word of the Lord, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.
If you are truly being open to God; if you are letting yourself be sensitive to Him, you just might feel as if your ears are tingling. Listening yet?
The “all-in” type of believing
Biblical “believing in Jesus” is – being all in with all that you are, not just bits and pieces (Read: Agreeing with God; Christ secured our eternal home.) Accepting Christ as Savior and Lord is acting with your heart, soul, strength and with your mind.
Only Jesus saves
If we accept Jesus plus something more, then we are not saved by Jesus (Matthew 6:24).
Accepting Jesus – Plus Some Other
is a type of fake faith,
and both have folks of such “faith”
– Going to Hell.
Outward religion does not save.

- It’s all or nothing
All of me for all of Him
Nothing done is nothing gainedHollow words are worthless
A worthless life arrives in Hell
– absolutely worthless.Life is full and fast and brief
I’ll not throw it all away – for what?I give my all, absolutely all to Jesus
all my heart to Christ,
all my soul to Christ,
all my mind to Christ,
all my strength to Christ
all my willful, willful self, all I am, all I want — all for Christ alone.
I’ll step on in to Heaven, complete in Him alone.
Salvation is not based on all I do and all I am.
It’s based on His free gift of grace.
But He requires my all.
