Oh the deep, deep love of our wonderful, wonderful Savior God, Jesus, the Messiah — sent from God the Father to save us from His condemnation. There is no greater love than the love of Jesus – that he would die for His friends:
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:12-17
12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.
14 You are My friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
16 You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. 17 This I command you, that you love one another.
The Way
Jesus said, “I am the way….” The only Way of God for us to come to Him, Father God, is through His only Son, Jesus (John 14:6, John 5:21).
Jesus said, “I and the Father are One” (John 10:30). And when Jesus left the earth after His resurrection from the dead, He said He would send us His Holy Spirit to be with us while He went away to prepare a place in Heaven for us (John 14).
This Holy Spirit now resides in our very body and soul and spirit, Jesus said. And He would never leave us. Ever.
God is spirit, so we come to God Almighty, worshipping Him “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24). Our One God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — One God in three entities. Don’t ask me how that is, but that is what God shared about Himself. Who are we to understand such infinite matters, so extreme-to-the-nth degree.
John 4:24
God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Also see: John 14:17
The Way of God is not a religion. Jesus said “I am the way….” (John 14:5-7) 1
6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” NASB
Jesus became a man. He retained His divine self, and also was a man of flesh and bone – the Godman, all powerful, all knowing, all God and all man. And, as a man, He is able to feel and experience life as us humans He created. He is the Godman.
He can sympathize and empathize with us, personally. Awesome God. 2
Being a man, the Godman, and being “the Way”, our experience with God is thus a relationship, not a religion. When we enter that relationship with God – it happens through Jesus. We then “live and move and have our being” in Him.
Acts 17:28
for in Him we live and move and exist
Jesus said,
Luke 9:24
For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake, he is the one who will save it [from the consequences of sin and separation from God].
John 5:21
Just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life [and allows them to live on], even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.
There are “consequences of sin” — and the most extreme is “separation from God”. He is Holy God, and we are sinful. So He requires that atonement be made on our behalf. He did it. Jesus paid it all. No atonement? No entrance whatsoever to Heaven.
Thus Jesus came down to earth to die as the perfect sacrifice “that takes away the sin of the world”. John the Baptist, the man prepared by God to announce His coming, said that:
John 1:29
The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him, and *said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Because of His great love for us, Jesus volunteered to die in our place. As the perfect Lamb of God, God sacrificed His Son so that in His Courts we could be declared “not guilty”, and a relationship could happen. We are saved from His condemnation when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Also see: Matthew 20:28.
John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name
John 1:9-13 NASB
9 [a I.e., the Word, Christ]This was the true Light [b Or that enlightens every person coming into the world]that, coming into the world, enlightens every person. 10 He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and yet the world did not [c Or acknowledge]know Him. 11 He came to His [d Or own things, possessions, domain]own, and His own people did not [e Or receive]accept Him. 12 But [f Or all who received]as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who [g Or trust in]believe in His name, 13 who were [h Or fathered]born, not of [i Lit bloods]blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God. Excerpt from There Is Only One God:
I am amazed by the choice of the majority of humankind: they do not choose to believe what God has revealed from heaven! With many furnished proofs and compelling evidences, God revealed Himself to mankind in the form of Jesus Christ, the Messiah of the Jews. How about it: are you going to really examine the facts, and decide for yourself based on what you can see for yourself?
I am a Christian because…. When will you “Turn from – Turn to“?
FOR MORE:
I am surprised that the majority of humans reject Jesus, leaving Jesus aside, choosing some other alternative belief or unbeliefism. For so, so many – Jesus is Savior no more.

Footnotes
- Religion is man trying to reach God. Whereas the follower of Jesus has a relationship with God the Father, and Jesus, by way of the Holy Spirit. Read John 14:5-7 and John 4:23-24.
- MirWeb: empathy “the action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another“.
Sympathy vs. Empathy
“Sympathy and empathy both refer to a caring response to the emotional state of another person, but a distinction between them is typically made:while sympathy is a feeling of sincere concern for someone who is experiencing something difficult or painful,
empathy involves actively sharing in the emotional experience of the other person”.
