When it comes to The One who is able to save your soul or damn it all to Hell – I’d say THAT is the most concerning warning.
God’s biggest warnings to us today
What mental gymnastics must apostates practice in order to by-pass all the warnings applicable to them? Are you aware of the many, many warnings God has given to us in Scripture?
Bible Warnings against false teachings and their false teachers
The Bible gives multiple biblical warnings against false teachings – their apostles, their prophets, and their teachers. Bible warnings are explicit as to what they teach, and who is teaching them. They are not merely “mistaken”. The warnings call them “apostate” and says they “are not of us”. They are not saved. Strong warnings, are they not. And we are to continue teaching the Bible in it’s entirety.
Specific salvation parameters Jesus absolutely requires
Are you aware of what-all is actually required to truly “accept Christ”? Believing “in the name…” means accepting “all that Jesus Christ is and does”. Have you sincerely repented and truthfully “believed” in Jesus? Are you honestly following Jesus?
Specific salvation parameters to get saved
Salvation does not require being smart, nor knowing it all, nor getting it all right. The thief on the cross was saved on the spot – while hanging there dying. But if we examine what the thief acknowledged… he got it right, and Jesus saved him on the spot. But others went away from Him without salvation. So what’s with that? What does Jesus require?
Conform or Resist the pressures
Can people in the dark see your light. You standing up for Jesus? Standing strong against evil is a norm in Christian living. I want to be a more righteous person. I refuse to conform to the enemies of our soul. How about you?
Consequences of Supporting Evil
Supporting evil actually has one consequence before God. Can you guess what it is?
Loving the world
If we love the world, and, at the same time call our self “Christian”, then we are “serving two masters” (Matthew 6:24). Do you know what Jesus said about that?
Pretending their word is God’s word
It’s crazy how so many have tried in the past, and are still doing it – “re-interpreting” or discovering some “personal or special” interpretation (2 Peter 1:19-21), attempting to legitimize a new creative way to have it their way. If that is happening in your church – don’t believe it. It is our “job”, our responsibility, as followers of Christ – to use the Bible to ascertain what is of God and what are “the words of a puny human” (we are all “puny humans”). Huge difference. I personally do not want to hear some puny opinions when I go to church. I want to hear God’s “word of truth”.
Is your light actually darkness?
Light and darkness are what is good and what is bad (Luke 11:33-36). It is God’s Word, the Bible, that fills us with light – not any of the multiple, vain, man-made philosophies cooked-up to make us feel wise. Have you shined the light of Jesus around you lately?
