Are you aware of what-all is actually required to truly “accept Christ”? Believing “in the name…” means accepting “all that Jesus Christ is and does”. Have you sincerely repented and truthfully “believed” in Jesus? Are you honestly following Jesus?

But if we examine what the thief acknowledged… he got it right, and Jesus saved him on the spot. But others went away from Him without salvation. So what’s with that? What does Jesus require?
