Have you learned the attitude? The attitude of the righteous? Luke 1:17 tells us what that is.
Forgiving and restoring the brother caught in a sin
Have you been treating actual “brothers” and sisters like the world does when they catch a sinner? Scripture calls for us to “restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness” – not snub and drub MerWeb: snubbing – harshly criticize or reprimand. What?! Treat them quick and harsh? Get down and slander and gossip about them to others? Put down, slap down? A Christian who, in a moment of failure – falls… is not to be classified as “an immoral” person.
What makes your prayers effective
What a huge privilege God gives – to pray. So, how do I make the most of it?
Got unconfessed sin? Harboring sin makes anyone’s prayers ineffective
With prayer, we love to quote “ask anything…” (1 John 5:14), but many often neglect warnings about repentance (Psalm 66:18) and praying according to His will. God is a given, but prayer depends on “the person in prayer”.
When you are wrong and just don’t get it
We know what Jesus believes. Do you agree with Him? He gave us a choice to make. Are you good with what Jesus said about being “wrong”?
What you think and practice as compared with what Jesus thinks
The way you think (as in your worldview, your political leaning, your personal outlook on things) shows your agreement or disagreement with Jesus, or your rejection of what Jesus taught. If you reject His teaching, then, does that mean you reject Jesus Himself?
Admitting I was wrong
Ever feel like a working moron! Sometimes I am a moron! I do exactly NOT what I wanted to do, just as the Apostle Paul admitted in Romans 7: verse 15. How foolish is that!? Jesus does not condemn me when I sin! God does not approve my sin. He wants me to be pure and righteous, all together. But my God is a 1 Corinthians 13 type of God (verses :4-8a)!
