John, the disciple of Jesus, wrote (Revelation 1 NASB).
3 Blessed is he who reads
and those who hear
the words of the prophecy,
and heed the things which are written in it;
for the time is near.“

As creations by God on earth, it behooves us to read, hear, and heed what God Himself has revealed to us as His will. How can we expect this God of the Universe to accept us into His holy Kingdom, if we do not read, hear, and heed His expressed desire for us? Have you read the Bible lately?
Our busy days make it easy to leave an invisible God out in the cold – even reject Him, as an “it”, some ethereal Star Trek monster, unknowable, distant, or even not real. But the truth is that God has revealed plenty.
We just need to become interested enough to seek him out. See:

God is calling us to Himself. Have you read about Him? Have you truly heard His call? Have you heeded His message?
Here’s a quick look at the book of Revelation, Chapter 1. John introduces us to Jesus: (Revelation 1)
1. Jesus was given revelation by God the Father verse 1 “to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place.“
2. Jesus sent this message to the disciple John, by an angel.
3. John then verse 2 “…testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.“
So, who is this Jesus? (Revelation 1)
1. Jesus gives us grace and peace (verse 4)
2. Jesus is the eternal One who existed before all creation, the One “who is and who was and who is to come.” (verse 4)
3. Jesus is “the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.” (verse 5)
1. Jesus “loves us” (verse 5)
2. Jesus, for all the born again, those who have accepted Him, has “released us from our sins by His blood” (verse 5)
3. Jesus “has made us to be a kingdom, priests….” (verse 6)
Jesus is coming back! “He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him….” (verse 7) Are you ready to meet this One?
verse 8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,”
says the Lord God,
“who is
and who was
and who is to come,
the Almighty.”

The Revelation of Jesus Christ
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and [a]communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, 2 who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and [b]heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
Message to the Seven Churches
4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— 6 and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
