Regarding the New Covenant, an important point must be made, especially in these End Times of apostasy, in light of teachings I see coming out of some churches.
Contrary to NAR-type false prophets, The New Covenant could not have abolished the Old Testament Words of God, as they prophesied, anymore than the Judaic Law of God could have invalidated the covenant given to Abraham concerning the coming Messiah. Apostle Paul makes this very clear.
The Law was given 430 years after the promise of a coming Messiah. That “does not and cannot invalidate” what God established concerning the Messiah – years before. Paul makes this point in Galatians 3:6-29.
Verse 1 O you foolish and thoughtless and superficial Galatians, who has bewitched you [that you would act like this]… – Galatians 3:1
verse 17 This is what I mean: the Law, which came into existence four hundred and thirty years later [after the covenant concerning the coming Messiah], does not and cannot invalidate the covenant previously established by God, so as to abolish the promise. – Galatians 3:17
How “foolish and thoughtless and superficial” can one get? Pretty foolish! Do you want God’s Words, or stupididiotic falsities?
In the same exact way, the New Covenant came into existence after the Old Testament period (OT) — but that “does not and cannot invalidate the covenant previously established by God.” Easy peasy Google it. Simple application.
God does not change. What was “previously established by God” (Galatians 3:19) is a sure thing. We don’t just go changing things willy nilly. We don’t “reinterpret” with the passing of time. What He said stands forever.
What the passage of time does is “mature His meaning”. It does not change what He said orginally. We understand more now than those who lived back in OT times. We are seeing clearly now. For example see: Why “the end” Jesus foretold is now.
In spite of God’s immutibility Google it (“unchangingness”), we have today – false teachers claiming that the Old Testament is no longer valid for Christians and their practices. They say that God’s Word of yesteryears is replaced by new words of their own. What a crock that is! We seem to have spontaneous illogicality and doublespeak in some churches, just as we see it in the world.
NAR-types are changing what God started! They misrepresent God. They force God to speak their own words! They are caughtup with practices that God said NOT TO practice. How can you follow that? Beware, you who speak forth your own words as if they were God’s words. The Old Testament prohibitions are still in force! The Old Testament is still Truth for today.
Don’t follow
“unsound reasoning
contrary to the truth”
(James 1:22)
Do you want God to be against you? That is what happens when you follow the false teacher. Do not attend apostate churches. Instead… live in accordance with the entire Bible – with what Jesus taught. Period.
31 So Jesus was saying to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples. 32 And you will know the truth [regarding salvation], and the truth will set you free [from the penalty of sin].” – John 8:31-32
FOR MORE:
Later covenants of God did not invalidate former covenants! The New Covenant was a fulfillment of former covenants. Invalidate the Old? The logic isn’t even there – so how do so many people believe the false teachers?

First, Apostasy, then Antichrist, then the Rapture Excerpt: God is about to effect change – big time.
He is about to say, It’sssss Time – for change. The Apostle Paul gave us the chronological order of how three events of change will go down in The End Times. Seems clear enough. To me that sort of settles any argument about the chronology of events to come.
If you have the time to look into how times will change soon: read the entire main biblical text on which this article is based: 2 Thessalonians 2.
Jesus will rescue us soon from the Wrath to come
