The Moses Connection
There is an astounding connection that goes all the way from Moses — forward through the centuries to Jesus the Messiah. From way back in history, with Moses, we pass through time – to Jesus… and there we have this man claiming exactly what Moses predicted. What an astounding connection!

Back in his time, Moses heard from God:

¹⁴ God said to Moses, “^[a]I Am Who I Am”; and He said, “You shall say this to the Israelites, ‘I Am has sent me to you.’” – Exodus 3:14.  ¹

As God said to Moses
God spoke to Moses. And centuries later we see Jesus using the same words “I am” over twenty times in the book of John. Jesus made these “I am” statements — just like that – as God had said to Moses, in the Old Testament.  ²

Seven (7) of those twenty statements claim divinity — “by a metaphor that declares His deity and His relationship to mankind as Savior“. Jesus Himself made it clear He claimed to be God and Savior of all sinners who repent.

In the New Testament, there are seven (7) “I am” statements of Jesus where He made it clear He claimed to be God – and Savior of all sinners who repent (John 14:6).  ³

Jesus’ 7 Claims of Diety saying “I am”
I am the… the Bread, the Light, the Door, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection, the Way the Truth and the Life, the Vine.

This is stated clearly when we connect the Exodus quote with John: Exodus 3:14 and John 8:24 and 28, and 58.

The BibleGateway Footnote for John 8:58 explains Jesus’ claim as saying:

“I Am the One who is—the Lord, in Hebrew – Yahweh.”

Now THAT is astounding! And that is why, upon hearing this, the religious leaders tried to have Jesus stoned to death. They knew Jesus was claiming to be God Almighty.

The naysayers of today fail to honestly examine Jesus. We know Him through the Bible. Read the book.
