…why all my pain and sorrow, sickness and suffering, depressed feelings and worries? It’s from the Fall of Man. The Fall of Man, falling away from God and into sin, is recorded in Genesis 3. We live to see the effects all the way throughout history, all the way into our own times – and […]
What will you do with Jesus?
What will you do with Jesus?…a series on Jesus with excerpts from each article.
Make judgements all day long
In modern day English, the Bible does not say, Do not judge. I hear this a lot. But what the Bible actually means is, “Do not condemn others”. We are to be known by our love, and love is not condemning. Come on Christians! Don’t be known by how condemning you are of those around […]
Hell by God
…a series about Hell – which was created by God for the banishment of Lucifer.
Penalty vs Effect
Excerpt from: My Heinous Heinous Ways Don’t confuse the “penalty” of sin (if you stand before God or the government) – with the “effect” of sin (the pain and anguish inflicted). Yes, in God’s Heavenly Court any degree of sin is worthy of condemnation, so in that sense, it’s all bad. However, any specific sin […]
Our Unmitigated God
The God who put together the Bible – has unmitigated force and strength, love, mercy and grace, holiness and justice. It will never work to tell God, “Lighten up!” Nothing mitigates this God. Absolutely nothing will ever soften, mollify or “fix” Him. Because? Because He is perfect and complete in everything that He is. The wonder of it all is that God wants us, sinners, to be with Him in His Kingdom.
Who is this God?
Most people believe there is a God. What about you? Who is your god? Is He truly the God of the Universe? Or, have you just sort of ended-up with this made-up creation of yours that you call “my God”? Or maybe you’ve allowed some other people to sort of lure you into their version of god? If I end up following some “god” of my own making – how stupid will that be in the end when I am face to face with the One who is really God?
Sincerity and Truth
Was there sincerity in your repentance? Was there truth? Is there fidelity to Jesus in your faith?
Get a grip!
“…do this well, fearless in your struggle, keeping a firm grip on your faith and on yourself. After all, this is a fight we’re in.” – 1 Timothy 1:verse 18 The Message (MSG) Life is a fierce battle to the death, a struggle to win against all the forces against us. Keep yourself strong in […]
Right on the edge of trusting him forever
God forgives all wrongdoings of all repentant sinners, no exception. So don’t sit on the fence. God wants all of us to come to Him. Repent and be saved.
Balancing-out my faith with my practice
Coming to God on your own terms is like… careening into court dipsy drunk to fight a DUI offense and thinking the judge will forgive you. The reality of God’s universe is — it’s not your universe. It behooves us to seek after God and get His word on things. Our thoughts are not His thoughts. My thoughts will not be consulted by God on That Day.
Ask the questions where you’ll get the truth
Funny how we tend to believe what we’re going to believe – no matter what others say. Been there? The same is true with our beliefs about God. Eternity at stake! Why not inquire more deeply and seek to know the truth about God? Dive in, there is plenty of evidence to convince a sincere mind. After all, we’ll spend an eternity with our belief!
I am dying
I am dying. And so are you. We’re all under the curse of The Fall, where God cursed the earth and all His creation, because of sin. Sin started back where a man and a woman (Adam and Eve) decided, by their own free will, to contradict God’s word to them, and do what God […]
Matthew 10:38
“And he who does not take his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me] is not worthy of Me.” – Matthew 10:38 Amplified version FOR MORE: From: What […]
Our Father, who is in heaven
…Jesus’ model for prayer. Photo: Nabeel Qureshi 9 “Pray, then, [a]in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, [b]Hallowed be Your name. 10 ‘[c]Your kingdom come, Your [d]will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 ‘Give us this day our [e]daily bread. 12 ‘And forgive us our [f]debts, as we have forgiven […]
God is not reckless in any way
The God of the Bible is loving, and gives thought aforehand about all consequences of His actions. He knows what’s up before it happens, so nothing He does is “reckless”. God is not careless, hasty, impetuous, nor unwise. It’s not in His nature….” So why sing about a “reckless” God?
The privilege of my existence
You ever stop to think about your existence? Wow! What a privilege to have been created. What a privilege – that God Himself cares about me, about you. I have hope. Anyone on earth can have hope and joy everyday – through Jesus. He carries me. He is the lifter of my soul. (Psalm 3:3) […]
1 John 4:1-3
1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, do not believe every spirit [speaking through a self-proclaimed prophet]; instead test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know and recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges and confesses [the fact] […]
Our put down, slap down ways
Take today’s challenge: Try “loving” again. “Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly].” – Matthew 7:1 The world around us is chuck-full of fault-finding. You might even find it inside your […]
Quick and Harsh
We all do it. It is so easy. We jump to it! Each of us – we suddenly are harsh and unloving. We jump to judgment, condemning others around us. Our harsh words and attitudes come out of such lovely, innocent faces. We often draw conclusions without all the facts – and then shame and […]
Streaming from my soul
What is streaming from deep inside your soul? What is it, coming out from deep inside you? Jesus said that it is that, what is inside you, that causes us problems. It’s not what’s outside. It’s what’s inside.

Isaiah 26:3
Quoting a bumper sticker: “Know God, know peace. No God, no peace.” Isaiah the prophet spoke to the Lord, “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you” – Isaiah 26:3 Modern English Version (MEV) Same verse in another version: “You will keep in […]
Born Again. Reborn from above
Getting “born again” is found in several references in the Bible. Jesus Himself said, “You must be born again.” Have you?
A worthy life
Am I supportive of the souls I meet… every day, every meeting of the souls? Or do I dim their soul (put out their light) with my merciless condemnations? I’m not where I want to be, but I’m getting there, one step at a time.
A Healthy Soul
How do you measure the condition of your soul? We are attacked by so many negative pressures around us. Test and evaluate yourselves to see whether you are in the faith and living your lives as [committed] believers (2 Corinthians 13:5).
Who I really really am
The problems of my day today – I won’t let them take away my joy in Christ. I will not let troubles crowd-out who I really am. In Christ – I am more than victorious over everything, because God holds me in His Hands, and promises good to me. He is my Refuge and My Strength. In Him I am up to the challenges. He is my all. I am enough because His Spirit is within me.
Hebrews 13:5-6
Hebrews 13:5-6 Amplified Bible (AMP) 5 Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I […]
I’m not what he says I am
I am what God says I am. God says I am a brand new creature — in Christ. I am not the sum total of all my sins. Why?
Romans 8:25-28. Hope in Christ
“…if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure.” – Romans 8:25-28
