My 3 year old grandson, Levi, was busily building log contraptions on the floor of our living room after Christmas. Two little older cousins were also there playing. We adults were chatting at the dining table nearby.
Out of the blue Levi says, “Hey guys, did you know that Jesus died on a cross for our sins?” He had formed a cross from the building logs! Kaden replied, “Yeah.” Avery responded, “No.” Paused, then corrected herself, “Well, yeah.”
Our little log builder replied, “I learned that at AWANAs”.
13-15 One day children were brought to Jesus in the hope that he would lay hands on them and pray over them. The disciples shooed them off. But Jesus intervened: “Let the children alone, don’t prevent them from coming to me. God’s kingdom is made up of people like these.” After laying hands on them, he left. –Matthew 19:14
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. – Luke 18:17
