I beat my wife up everyday

I beat my wife up everyday
that keeps her sweet and able
she meets each day content and stable
the world in fray at bay

I make it happen
beat her up, get out of bed
each morning I am there
and she is there
the coffee’s hot, we chat, we share
we gently start the day together
peaceful, strong
and ready for the day

That’s why I beat her when I can
first to get up out of bed
I make it happen
so each day she’s enabled
safe, secure, laughing, playful
peaceful, strong and each day steady
ready for the day before her

I make it happen
so I can go and beat her
get on up before she wakes
I don’t want her to eat alone
it’s dark out, oh so cold

A lazy man can stay asleep
and let his wife go beat him
she’s off to work before he wakes
alone to meet the world that day
but I get up before she wakes

So when I can I beat her
I watch the clock to beat her up
I don’t want her to eat alone
each day she walks on out to work
it’s dark out, oh so cold

So every day I get on up
so I can sweetly beat her
every morning I am there
and she is there
we eat we chat we share our moments
start up our day together

The world – it’s not an easy place
harder still to live alone
we live much better sharing, caring
being there to help, support
laughing, playful
together safe, secure
trusting, accepting
appreciated for who she is
for who I am
