In Christ I am enough. I’ve got it all, nothing needed, nothing missing. I am ready, steady and able because God Himself made me more than human, after all.
I have everything needed, in me, to live a godly life — because of the power of God in me… since that moment in time that God Himself made me a brand new creature inside. Same outside, new inside, for now, in my inner soul, the Holy Spirit resides in me in power. That is what happens to those who truly accept Jesus as their Savior.
2 Peter 1: verse 3
3 For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through [d]true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
BibleGateway Note [d]: 2 Peter 1:3 There is no “secret knowledge” or “better way” or alternative belief system which God has revealed to some unique group or teacher. The truth is available to everyone.
Jesus saved me. How about you? Do you know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that you are born again?
I have “absolutely everything necessary for a dynamic spiritual life and godliness”. How much? Absolutely everything!
No matter who you are – it’s all about Christ.
- If you have so far rejected Christ – Christ is your only salvation.
- If you are drawing close to God – Christ is the only One you need.
- If you are a phony baloney “fake christian” – Christ asks you to be genuine and truthful, and repent.
- If you think you are maybe not truly saved – Christ says “now is the acceptable time“.
- If you are already saved, you must remain in the vine, in Christ. For more, read: John 15
There is nothing more pressing, nothing more important at any time in your life – than to “be right with Christ”. He is the source of all that is good – in this life, and in the life to come. Are you “in Christ” right now, this moment? If not, then you are not ready.
If you are not saved with the life altering salvation known only through Christ, His message for you is: “You shall love the Lord your God with all… (not just with parts and pieces of you)
Luke 10:27
And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
Deuteronomy 13:3
you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 6:5 (Also: Joshua 22:5)
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
That is a lot – giving your all to God. But that is what God requires.
