[expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come]
and follow Me
[believing in Me,
conforming to My example in living
and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying
because of faith in Me]
is not worthy of Me.”

From: What sort of person are you?
As believers in Christ, followers of Him, our whole outlook on life sees the hectic chaos of the world in these end times – and we say with Peter:
11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way,
what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness….
14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things,
be diligent
to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless,
– 2 Peter 3:11-18 – verses 11 and 14
To recap in my words:
Since all this stuff is only temporary and will soon disappear anyway,
I want to be the sort of person that lives my life —
the way God wants me to live.
My focus is going to be on eternity with God.
I am going to be diligent to live His Way —
so that when I stand before the King of Kings,
He will see me totally covered by His forgiveness,
“in peace, spotless and blameless“.

- He asks that as we repent, we align our heart and mind towards His ways, determined to follow Him with all that we are. Forgetting our past, confessing our sin, we choose Him above all others – From: What sort of person are you?
