“Come now and let us reason together”, “examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things…” are so. – Acts 17:11; Isaiah 1:18; Ephesians 3:14
Is your “god” too small? Does “he” leave you fearful about your eternity?
What kind of god have you chosen? 1
Maybe as a Christian – you think God is fickle, and might come back on you to damn you to Hell – because you failed Him too much? (How much is “enough”?)
Read it again.
John 10:28
And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand.
Jesus gives. We do not earn it. We do not frantically hold on to it. Jesus gives it. It is called grace. And what He gives is… for all eternity.
Were you ever truly born again?
The better question here is actually: Were you ever truly born again – back when you supposedly “accepted Christ”? That is the crux of the matter. 2
See: Got a Cracked Heart?
Scripture (the Bible) never (nowhere) teaches that a born again follower of Jesus can ever lose their salvation. Though we believers will be called to account for our actions (2 Corinthians 5:10), all our sins are forgiven.
You cannot “lose” what God keeps secured for us:
That is because God’s grace is bigger than all of our sins (Ephesians 2:8-9).
That is because His Salvation is guaranteed by God Almighty Himself. Now THAT is sure! (Romans 8:28-39)
That is because His Forgiveness is an act of God, not an act of mere puny humans (John 3:16-18).
That is because He holds us securely in His salvation, and promised that none would be lost (John 10:28).
That is because God cannot lie. His promises are true and reliable (Hebrews 6:18).
18 so that by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge would have strong encouragement and indwelling strength to hold tightly to the hope set before us.
19 This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells] – Verses 18-19 of Hebrews 6:17-20
12 …I am persuaded [beyond any doubt] that He is able to guard that which I have entrusted to Him until [a]that day [when I stand before Him]. – 2 Timothy 1:12
We are not saved after all these years – because we clung desperately to Him… but because He holds us firmly in His Hands. I am working to “finish well”, but not because I fear losing it. I keep focused on growing in my faith – so I will hear that “well done” as I stand before my blessed Redeemer on That Day.
Promises By God To Save Eternally
9 I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security). – Verse 9 of John 10
14 I am the Good Shepherd, and I know [without any doubt those who are] My own and My own know Me [and have a deep, personal relationship with Me]— 15 even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father—and I lay down My [very own] life [sacrificing it] for the benefit of the sheep. 16 I have [e]other sheep [beside these] that are not of this fold. I must bring those also, and they will listen to My voice and pay attention to My call, and they will become [f]one flock with one Shepherd. – Verses 14-16 of John 10.

If not sincere and true
The Good Shepherd, Jesus, knows the future, knows your heart, knows your sincerity or lack thereof, sees dishonesty, sees your fickle, deceived heart – if you are not truly His.
And when He speaks of “my own” sheep (John 10 – verse 14), He knows they are 100% given over to Him. Not 100% sinless, but 100% given-over. He knows their heart is His.
←That Moment in Time
We are saved in the very moment we call on Him in sincerity and truth. No delays, no exceptions, no “but but buts…” whatsoever. Back in that very moment in time – we were saved forever. Period. Done.
If you were not saved, now is the time.
see whether these things were so
– Acts 17:11
God does not Unforgive
God does not come back against us – to unforgive us because we sinned again. Ever.
If any “so-called” Christian ends up in Hell on That Day of Judgement —
- It was not because God lost them
- It was not because they lost Him
- It was not because that person sinned too much
- It was not because they changed their mind
If you call yourself a “Christian” but then you end up going to Hell – – –
- It was because you were never saved in the first place
- It was because you stubbornly refused to give it up – like the rich young ruler: “one thing you lack“
- It was because you tolerated evil in your heart – 3 John 1:11
- It was because you were not 100% given over to Jesus
- It was because you were not sincere and truthful in your heart
- It was because you were dishonest with Jesus
- It was because you deceived your own heart
- It was because you were concurring with the Devil
- It was because you followed apostate teachings – Deuteronomy 13; Verse 8 of 2 John 1
- It was because you did not agree with nor follow what Jesus so clearly believes
- …and the sad list goes on and on.
Jesus can save your soul for all eternity
Since I am born again into a new life in Christ, I’m not only human, after all. Never again.
Through Christ I am now a new creation of God, and He, by the Holy Spirit, has a special place inside my soul. Like no other “god” could have done, He made my spirit alive so that now I am free from His condemnation and I am no longer a slave to sin. (Romans 6:6; John 8:34)
14 For by the one offering He has perfected forever and completely cleansed those who are being sanctified [bringing each believer to spiritual completion and maturity]. – Hebrews 10: verse 14

In the midst of a sin-filled tumultuous world, His Word is sure regarding His ability to save us. He saved us from our sin. For as long as we have breath, there is no sin He cannot forgive. And what does He do? He gives. And what He gives – is eternal. (John 10:28)
In that moment when you turned to Him with sincerity and truth, that is the moment He forgave you, and He sealed His Salvation of you by His Holy Spirit. You are safe in Him from then on.
28 And I give them
eternal life,
and they will never,
ever [by any means]
perish;
and no one
will ever
snatch them
out of My hand.
29 [i]My Father,
who has given them to Me,
is greater and mightier than all;
and no one
is able to snatch them
out of the Father’s hand.
30 I and the Father are One
[in essence and nature].”

This world is not my home! That is why…
I live with confidence
I am not afraid of death
I cast aside fear. God is my refuge and strength
I do not allow sin to reign over me
I have exceedingly vibrant joy in my inner soul
Although I am not perfect, I have, growing in me… “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control”
I converse with my Savior all throughout my day
I make it my aim to do everything I do – with all my might, and – for the glory of God
I refuse to worry about God’s capability to save me. I thank God He has promised to keep working on me – but I am not relying on my good works to save me. Jesus alone saves. And what He does cannot be undone.

Excerpt: Being ¨Christian¨ is not a matter of us determining what is Christian and what is not. Being ¨Christian¨ is a matter of God. He determines reality. He has already determined how it is to be. Through the Bible we can know His will by ¨accurately dividing the Word of Truth¨ (2 Timothy 2:15). God has not told us to make our own way. Don´t deceive yourself into Hell (Galatians 6:7).
