Dark threatening days are looming for many around the world who follow Jesus the Messiah. With these End Times in which we are presently living, there will be believers in Christ
“slaughtered because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained [out of loyalty to Christ]” (Revelation 6:9).
Suffering Now
Suffering for our faith has been happening for years. Read more about suffering now: We are now in “Birth Pangs” times, and then – the End. Perhaps we will be among those who suffer, we who now eagerly await His Rapture and Second Coming.
We may not see the Rapture. Many Afganistani Christians today (August 23, 2021) are now experiencing suffering because of their loyalty to Christ. They were not raptured. They are going through suffering. Many are being slaughtered. We may also. 1
The message of God to us all is:
Maintain yourself faithful
– out of loyalty to Christ.
Revelation 6:9 speaks of martyrs willing to suffer death rather than renounce Christ.
When He (the Lamb) broke open the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained [out of loyalty to Christ]. – Revelation 6:9
Revelation 7:17 speaks of the hope we have in Christ. Even if slaughtered, His redeemed ones will find themselves in the “springs of the waters of life” and “God will wipe every tear from their eyes [giving them eternal comfort].” For more read: At death we put on immortality
“for the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will be their Shepherd, and He will guide them to springs of the waters of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes [giving them eternal comfort].” – Revelation 7:17
My prayer is that the Lord returns soon. I rather it be sooner than later! However, I am ready for whatever He allows. What about you?
His Bride, we, the Church of Jesus, the virgins with oil-filled lamps, will most definitely not be here on earth for the “great day” of God’s “wrath and vengeance and retribution” (Revelation 6:17). But we do not know the future and the timing of His rescue to escape all these sufferings before the Rapture. It may be some of us will suffer and die – before His scheduled rescue. (We are not infallible!)
If we face death because of our faith in Christ, we can be confident knowing that He is with us all the way. He alone is our hope. “Fear not” (Hebrews 10:35; 2 Timothy 1:7; Revelation 2:10; Acts 20:20; 1 John 4:18; Matthew 10:31).
At the moment of our death – we put on Immortality. God’s Home Heaven will soon be our new Eternal Home. Is your faith strong enough to die for?
28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be afraid of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
4 “I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have nothing more that they can do.

Jesus said, Stand tall and lift up your heads in joy. Know that when we see all these signs of the times – His return is nearby, just around the corner!
Will you be accounted worthy to be Raptured? That is the question of the day. Will you be “accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass?”

Footnotes
- Excerpt from: We are now in “Birth Pangs” times, and then – the End
“These ending pangs include the horrible treatment of Christians: (Matthew 24:verse 9)
“they will deliver you to tribulation,
and will kill you,
and you will be hated….” (verse 9)The sufferings of persecuted Christians has been happening for years. Ask any Christians in North Korea, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan, Pakistan, Eritrea, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Iran, Pakistan, Nigeria — if they are in tribulations! Yes, the tribulations of verse 9 – not The Great Tribulation period.
Well, you can’t ask them – because most of them are dead. Our good news is we never die alone. Even if we die, we live.
Repeat that again: Followers of Christ in many areas have been suffering horrible tribulations – for years now. But this is not The Great Tribulation period of verse 21. These are the tribulations of right now (verse 9), before that culmination of the end times called The Great Tribulation.
