We are warned by the Apostle Paul and Matthew about the days when many will practice religion to look good, but inwardly… they are “full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean.” This you?
Matthew 23:27
“Woe to you, [self-righteous] scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which look beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean.”
(Matthew 23:27-29; Luke 11:47-48; Romans 3:13)
In the last days dangerous times will come
We are in those days: verse 1 “understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear].” (2 Timothy 3 verse 1)
“Their throat is an open grave;
They [habitually] deceive with their tongues.”
“The venom of asps is beneath their lips.”
– Romans 3: verse 13
We cannot do good, much less enough good, to merit God’s forgiveness. We must approach God (James 4:8).
20 For no [b]person will be justified [freed of guilt and declared righteous] in His sight by [trying to do] the works of the Law. – Romans 3: verse 20
Getting good enough for God
Forgiveness by God makes us good enough for God. Have you gone to God, personally, to ask Him for His forgiveness? Once forgiven, THEN we are good enough. Hallelujah!
Each of us will be accountable before God for our own soul (on That Day). Where are you at with this? Are you the real deal? Or a fake?
What about you and God? What is “enough” – for Jesus to approve of you? Approve of your repentance? Approve of your life? What is enough for Christ to actually save you?

Life is too short, and death is too long — to not settle things with God, forever.
James 4:8
Come close to God
[with a contrite heart]
and He will come close to you.
Wash your hands,
you sinners;
and purify
your [unfaithful] hearts,
you double-minded [people].
