Quoting from the Song: When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder (lyrics from hymnary.org). Photo by Denise.
Some day soon, whether through my death, or via the Rapture, “time will be no more” for me. Time will cease for me in that moment. I’m ready for that. How about you?
I am looking forward to when “the saved of earth will gather“. Oh what a day that will be!
“Over on the other side” I will be perfect, sinless, forever young. Wow! Never been that: never been perfect, never been sinless (for more than …a few hours I’d guess), and, looking back, I was only very, very briefly young!
“When… the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.” No doubt about it! I’m assured by the Lord that there is no question about this: I’ll be there. God already gave me eternal life. I have it now!
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [which represents all that Jesus Christ is and does], so that you will know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have eternal life.
– 1 John 5:13
I will never ever be under His condemnation. Never again. Jesus saved me by His grace – not me myself by any supposed good works of merit.
3 For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, [a]appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
– Colossians 3:3-4“
“…you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “[b]Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God. 17 And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.
– Romans 8:15-17
Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
– Romans 8:1-2
The “One and only“, never-changing God, said: “I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand.” He gave me eternal life.
John 10:27-30
27 The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.
28 And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand.
29 [a]My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are One [in essence and nature].”
3 Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun;
Let us talk of all his wondrous love and care.
Then when all of life is over and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there. [Refrain]

What we know about the Rapture
Oh How Marvelous Excerpt: Marvelous grace. To a sinner, what else could be so marvelous? God’s grace, that “un-merited” bestowing of a blessing on me. Just because of Him. Just because He chooses to do so within His Heavenly legal system.
The Gift by His precious, undeserved grace
The God to whom I belong and whom I worship
