When it comes to God, who wants mere opinions?

What Matters
When talking “God” and “Truth” – I really do not care what you think. You should not care what I think. What matters is “what God thinks”. What has God revealed to us down through the ages? Erroneous thinking proliferates with mere opinions.

Our aim is to teach the way of Christ – and to warn when someone is teaching another gospel which is different from what Jesus taught, different from what was written by the faithful early church in the New Testament (1 Peter 3:15; 1 Timothy 6:3-5; 1 Timothy 1:3-7).If your “salvation” is not from Matthew, Mark, Luke, John or Paul… then you are not saved, but rather — following a Jesus who was not God.

The Mystery of Salvation was revealed in the NT. Does it matter – what you believe? Well, as sure as Hell – yes, it really does matter. I give it my all to make sure I am following Jesus – not some aberrant fabrication of Him.

Prophets of Old
In reference to the prophets of the Old Testament, we find the OT prophets are quoted and referenced throughout the NT. Prophets foretold much about the coming of Messiah. We find that prophets are a base from which much of the New Testament stands, as said here:

2 Peter 1: verse 19. So we have seen and proved that what the prophets said came true. You will do well to pay close attention to everything they have written, for, like lights shining into dark corners, their words help us to understand many things that otherwise would be dark and difficult.

I do not consider myself an authority on truth – but rather, I point people to the authority on Truth, God’s Word. I am not the brightest bulb in the room, but, Jesus called me to share the Gospel. So that is what I do to the best of my abilities.

Speaking out the truth in love
I don’t worry about my critics. God has gifted me (as He does all His saints) “for just such a time as this”. I may not be as smart as you, but, well, so what?

Smarts gets you only so far. Then we all must humble ourselves and face the music – God has revealed His Truth, and we must follow Him to go far into eternity. Those who do not follow Christ, go only as far as Hell, and stop there, forever.

Naming names, calling-out evil… that is the example Jesus and the Apostle Paul model for us. Both Jesus and Paul let the chips fall wherever, with no fear of criticism.

We’re not downgrading others. We are speaking out the truth in love. See: Matthew 23:27; Colossians 4:3-4.

These things speak and exhort
and reprove
with all ^[i]authority.
Let no one disregard you.

The Importance of Evidence
We must examine ourselves, and examine the evidences closely. The Holy Spirit will guide us into the Truth. But you’ve got to want it – to see it.
