The death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth
Salvation by God, brought to us through Jesus, was a great mystery throughout Old Testament times.
The mystery of salvation was finally revealed through the God-man Jesus Christ during His 33 years on earth. Jesus Christ fulfilled the Judaic sacrificial system, making of Himself the ultimate “once for all” sacrifice for all sin (Hebrews 9:verses 23-28).
It was the death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, the baby born in a manger, of Mary, “fathered” by God the Holy Spirit – that was the culminating act of God to bring salvation to all who would believe and follow Him. Read Hebrews 9 and 1 Peter 1.
“…He commands all people everywhere
to repent
[that is, to change their old way of thinking,
to regret their past sins, and
to seek God’s purpose for their lives],
31 because He has set a day
when He will judge the inhabited world
in righteousness
by a Man whom He has appointed
and destined for that task, and
He has provided credible proof
to everyone
by raising Him from the dead.”

That was God’s plan all along. That plan never changed even one iota. It was always going to be the Son of God who would take away the sin of the world.
God unveils His truths
little by little,
at the proper time.
No one could figure-out how on earth was God going to provide forgiveness without the Judaic sacrificial system. Jesus was the answer!
It was utterly astounding – the biggest event in the history of the universe: Creator God Himself came down to earth as a human being. Because He loved us so much, He wanted to free us from His eternal punishment. So He came down, became a man, “God in the flesh”.
His name was Jesus. He was the Christ – the promised one of God, the Messiah. Whatever race, whatever religion, wherever on earth – Jesus came down to redeem you from judgement!
