Jesus waited 1,952 years for me, and then seven more. I am amazed by His love, His patience — with me. How long did God wait for you (2 Peter 3:1-9) to be able to go to Heaven?
I’m sure glad I’m going there, instead of that other place. You do believe there is a place open for us — other than His Place, right?
Jesus said He would return “soon”. The New Testament says that they, walking with Jesus, were in the end times during Jesus’ days on earth… yet God waited more years, more decades, more centuries before returning (has still not returned!) Why? In order that more souls would be ushered into Heaven. Is that love or what?!
Jesus waited. What does that mean to you? Has He been waiting for you to come along – and be saved?
Jesus Saved Me. Have you been saved? Don’t wait too late. His grace is limited. And so are your years!
8 Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like one day. 9 The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. – 2 Peter 3:8-9
