…looking into 1 Corinthians 15:1-23
Explaining useless faith
In 1 Corinthians 15:verses 14-15 Paul explains what useless faith is. He does this in the context of the resurrection, saying that if Christ was not resurrected — then …several things result.
He uses logic. He uses a reasoning of “If this – then that“. If Christ was not resurrected – then…this is true.
“if Christ has not been raised”
“…then our preaching is vain [useless, amounting to nothing], and your faith is also vain [imaginary, unfounded, devoid of value and benefit—not based on truth]. 15 We are even discovered to be false witnesses [misrepresenting] God, because we testified concerning Him that….”
– 1 Corinthians 15:14-15
That is a logical understanding, and we come to that by reasoning. The supposition is raised by Paul: if Christ never arose from the dead, then what value does our faith have. Paul says the logical answer is:
(1) our preaching about the Gospel would then be …”vain [useless, amounting to nothing]”.
(2) your faith in Jesus would then be …”vain [imaginary, unfounded, devoid of value and benefit—not based on truth]“.
Both would be a farce. Both (1) the preaching by Paul, and (2) the belief by the Corinthians. How very very important is truth.
The very same effect, “If this – then that“, is true of our personal preaching and faith. If what your preacher preaches is not truth, then what you believe is “vain [imaginary, unfounded, devoid of value and benefit—not based on truth]”.
This is what is happening in the apostate church of today. Look at it with Paul’s reasoning, the logic of “If this – then that“.
Both are a farce. Both (1) the preaching by apostate leaders, and (2) the belief by the followers in the pew.
Excerpt from No Sin – No Problem
The real problem here is that we are not the Ultimate One. The true great Rationalist is the God who determined it all in the first place and set this all up. Who are we to usurp Him?! We cannot win any argument with God. He wins in the end.
The same faith
We are warned to closely examine our faith. Test for the truth 1 Thessalonians 5:21. Confirm that we are or we are not – in the faith. Are you in, or are you out?
Excerpt from Are you in, or are you out?
The cross of Christ is the power of God that makes it possible for Him to save us. There is no guessing involved, no doubt about it, no sitting on the fence. “You is o’ you ain’t.” Paul the Apostle said in 1 John 5:13,
These things I have written
to you who believe
in the name of the Son of God,
so that you may
know
that you have eternal life.
We must have the same faith as that of Paul and Jesus’ disciples, or we are pathetic. Pathetic is: practicing a faith that is “vain [imaginary, unfounded, devoid of value and benefit—not based on truth]”.
The most important thing
The most important thing on earth… is to get this right. Discover you are truly following Jesus, or discover you are a false witness misrepresenting God 1 Corinthians 15:14-15. Either you are bound for bliss or bound for the ultimate Bummer. You will be discovered when you pass on over to the other side.

Are you logical in what you believe? Use this logic: “If this – then that”. God is not illogical. Why should we be?

All or nothing Excerpt: How much do you love God? You have a big heart, a deep, deep soul, lots of strength, and a huge mind! What’s in there?! Are you all for God in all of you, or …partially? Know your thinking – Save your future
“By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error” Excerpt: Test for truth 1 Thessalonians 5:21
There is a simple test John puts forward here in 1 John 4:1-6. We can easily test those who teach the Bible. We must – to know if they are of God or actually a wayward heretic apostate.
Many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world. Sadly, their teachings are pure junk. We must guard against them. Who wants to be following untruth? I, for one, want to follow Jesus Himself, the real Jesus — not a false antichrist.
