When does salvation happen?
There is a lot of confusion with some Christians about salvation. They do not know when salvation actually takes place. Some church doctrines (like with the Assemblies of God), state that you are not truly saved until you “endure to the end” (and, they also wrongly interpret Scripture, believing you can lose your salvation. Really?).
Bewilderingly, with that interpretation — they get this verse wrong, mistakenly thinking “endurance to the end” is a prerequisite, that you are not saved until the end of enduring:
Matthew 24:13
But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved.
This is not a prerequisite to salvation. It is simply stating: The person who is truly saved… is the one who at the end of life is still walking with the Lord. And, the one who is not walking with the Lord? Well, he/she proved by the life they lived…that his/her faith was not real.
We must have a better understanding of the nature of God, what God is capable of doing, and what the Bible says about salvation. He is mighty to save! And He saves on the spot, right there where you yeild your heart to receive Him. No waiting! As if HE didn’t know!
An article in the Christian Post (10.14.25) wrongly states:
“Nearly every Christian will agree that abiding faith is the requirement to obtain that inheritance.”
The requirement for salvation?
Obtain salvation by “abiding faith”? Right? Wrong. Actually – that is not true at all. It’s “the requirement”!? “Au contraire” the Bible puts it this way: God requires specific parameters to be met, and if you meet those… He THEN powerfully declares you forever forgiven —- right there on the spot.
So you think God has restricted salvation, not giving it to you until the last moment of your sinful life… and then AT THAT TIME gives or withholds? That is a crock. See: The Work of Salvation
God sees your heart and knows (faster than an instant!) that your heart is true, or not. If your heart is cracked and you are not giving Him 100% — He rejects your confession. Withholding obedience is a dead give-away.
The past tense in this verse 2 Peter 1:3-4 shows us salvation was already granted: has granted to us, He has granted to us, having escaped. He did it. He does not need to wait to see. He already knows if you will endure.
2 Peter 1:3-4 “ for His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us [a]by His own glory and [b]excellence. 4 Through [c]these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world on account of lust.“
Saved on the spot…Getting saved is fast. Be saved in one minute
Salvation is fast…and immediate
* The Thief on the cross was saved on the spot.
* The Jailer of Paul was saved on the spot, and got baptized…on the spot (Acts 16:29-34; Full Context: Acts 16:1-40).
* The Ethiopian eunuch was saved on the spot (Acts 8:25-40).
*All of us truly saved were saved “on the spot”.

Excerpt from: Small gods, and our great big beautiful God
Is your “god” too small? Does “he” leave you fearful about your eternity?
What kind of god have you chosen? 1
Maybe as a Christian – you think God is fickle, and might come back on you to damn you to Hell – because you failed Him too much? (How much is “enough”?) Read it again when doubts assail you:
John 10:28
And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand.
Jesus gives. We do not earn it. We do not frantically hold on to it. Jesus gives it. It is called grace. And what He gives is… for all eternity.
Matthew 24:13 distinguishes between (1) those who are truly saved — from (2) the many who “will fall away”. There is no danger to the salvation of the saved, but there is a huge danger to those who fall away, those who were never saved in the first place. They don’t even know they are not saved.
How do you tell the difference? “The one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved”.
Matthew 24:10-13
10 And at that time many will [a]fall away, and they will [b]betray one another and hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will rise up and [c]mislead many people. 12 And because lawlessness is increased, [d]most people’s love will become cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved.
To those who fall away, God will “assign [ap]him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth”. They were hypocrites. But the saved? They were sincere and honest in their confession accepting Jesus. God Almighty Himself secured their salvation – from the get-go Duckduckgo.com: From the very beginning; from the outset; immediately upon starting.
Were you accepting of all that Jesus Christ is and does…like a child? Or accepting Jesus – plus some other, accepting what God rejects?
