Scripture makes it very very clear that when we, anyone, comes to God in sincerity and truth, bowing our heart to Him in confession and repentance for salvation – – – – we are saved, redeemed, and given eternal life in that very moment.
Prime passages on the security of the believer show us without a doubt that we are secure in Him:
John 6:35-40
35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”
In this one passage alone, Jesus Himself states again and again and again and again, that His bread of life is forever:
“…he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.“
“…the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.“
“…of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day.“
“…40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”
-From John 6:35-40
Read Romans 8:28-39
… 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Just make sure you are a true believer.
It is the Holy Spirit (Philippians 1:6) that begins a new work in us — from the very moment of salvation in Christ. And God promises (Philippians 1:6) that He continues that good work in us all the way through to His return.
At salvation:
In the blink of an eye, the new believer passes
from death – to life,
from condemnation – to no condemnation,
from a destiny in hell – to a destiny in heaven,
from mere humanness – to a child of God.

When we, anyone, comes to God with sincerity and truth, giving Him all that we are, bowing our heart to Him in confession and repentance of sin – we are saved, redeemed, and given eternal life in that very moment. He saves us – not we ourselves.

Excerpt: How can we be certain that Paul was not speaking to believers who had lost their salvation? Notice the contrast between “you” and “we” in the passage:
4 You have been severed from Christ,
you who are seeking to be justified
by the Law;
you have fallen from grace.
5 For we,
through the Spirit,
by faith, are waiting
for the hope of righteousness.

Philippians 1:6
6 I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].
John 6:37-40
37 All that My Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me]. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but that I [give new life and] raise it up at the last day. 40 For this is My Father’s will and purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him [as Savior] will have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.”
