The word Rapture means “to snatch up or seize” unexpectedly, coming from the latin word raptus. It is recorded in the Old Testament that two individuals were seized by God, or “snatched up”. Both Enoch (Genesis 5:24) and Elijah (2 Kings 2) were walking along one day and – suddenly they were gone, snatched-up by God!
So we know it is not unprecedented for God to bodily snatch-up His followers. God will do it again. God does what He has determined to do.
God tells us this will happen! Jesus, and the Apostle Paul, and several others (Luke 21:36) – have prophecied that a “Rapture” will take place in the End Times. Signs of the times indicate the Rapture of Jesus’ followers will be taking place real soon! Wow. So we must be ready. Are you?
Millions of people, the true followers of Christ, will suddenly disappear from planet earth. This will cause such perplexity for those not snatched. Only those who have knowledge of Scripture will understand what just happened.
I want to be in on THAT! What an “E-ride” that will be.
[be attentive and ready],
praying that you may have the strength and ability
[to be found worthy and]
to escape all these things
that are going to take place,
and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man
[at His coming].”
