Peace within our own boundaries is not guaranteed. It is so important in these days that we all draw near to God, and pray. We must seek after God, while He yet can be found.
Deuteronomy 4:29 “…seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.”
Acts 3:19 So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day];
Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].
America is at a crossroad. And we’ve turned the corner. (January 2021) We are on the wrong road – the Practicing Iniquity Lane, where there is “rioting in rapine and insolence“, as John Adams warned about back in 1798:
Leviticus 19:18
You shall not take revenge nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor (acquaintance, associate, companion) as yourself; I am the Lord.
James 2 Verses 8 & 9
8 If, however, you are [really] fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, if you have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit]” you are doing well. 9 But if you show partiality [prejudice, favoritism], you are committing sin….
James 4:8
Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people].
“be known by our love”
– Source: Let God Damn – Not You
If we start acting like Jesus, if we start with the love and acceptance of Jesus – then our doctrinal teachings [and our actions] will not be harsh and condemning. Let’s let God do the damning. That is His business. We are told to be known by our love. Let’s lovingly exhort those who are caught-up in sin. Let God damn – not you.
