1 Kings 18:21 “Elijah approached all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal [is God], follow him.”
Now is the time to speak up, answer, share your faith, tell the truth. With evil right in front of our eyes, around us and daily in fake news — good Christians should not waiver nor equivocate 1
1 Kings 18:21 Amplified Bible
21 Elijah approached all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate [a Literally: limp on two crutches] between two opinions?
If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people [of Israel] did not answer him [so much as] a word.
Are you living “between two opinions”? We know that “Wanting” is not the same as “Having”. Wanting is not having. The same is true of “salvation in Christ”:
“Wanting” the awesome rewards of eternal life with an extremely loving God who is good beyond measure — that is not the same as personally “having” God’s amazing forgiveness.
“If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.”
More than 90 percent of Americans claim to believe in God.
- About 80 percent call themselves Christians. But when asked to define God, the answers range from “Mother Earth” to a “higher power.” Even many who claim to be born again deny that Jesus Christ is the “only way to God.”
- About 70 percent of Americans, 64 percent who call themselves born again, and 40 percent of self-proclaimed evangelicals reject the idea of absolute truth.
- And most of those who claim to believe in absolutes have fallen victims to a universal reluctance to speak the truth.

Does this describe the USA today (1/23/2021) or what?
14 and doom was turned aback, and rightfulness stood [a] far; for why truth fell down in the street, and equity, either evenness, might not enter. (and justice was turned back, and right stood afar off; and truth fell down in the street, and integrity, or honesty, could not even come in.)
15 And truth was made into forgetting, and he that went away from evil, was open to prey, either robbing. And the Lord saw, and it appeared evil in his eyes, for there is no doom. (And the truth was forgotten, and he who went away from evil, was laid open to theft, or to robbery. And the Lord saw, and it appeared evil to him, that there was no justice.)
My 2021 paraphrase of Isaiah 59:14-15:
Justice is totally twisted (torqued), true righteous living is hard to find, truth is replaced with whatever the majority wants truth to be, and what is upright (holy) is not even allowed in the public square. Truth is missing and anyone who sincerely repents of all this is considered fair game, and hatefully “cancelled“. God has seen what is happening, and He is not pleased at all that there has been no real justice.
