PIC: Peruvian Andean road circa 1950.
Life is full of choices. You know? (Sometimes you don’t have a choice – like this only road over the Andes: Peruvian Andean road circa 1950.) We want the best choice – every time, right? We make a choice, choosing one over another – in order to have the best. So good – it’s “to die for”.
Wanting the Best
Why not?! Only the masochist does not, or… the slacker, the disillusioned, the faker, the drunkard, the wife beater, the child rapist, the communist/nazi types, the bully, the fake news media “not-a-journalist” types, the false prophet, Islamic terrorists, carjackers, thieves, murderers…. But we want the best.
I really really like ice cream as my choice! I really like it. But, I was told it’s not the best choice for a complete dinner. (They say: eat lots of vegetables!) So, I deny myself, and choose “well-balanced”.
The biggest choice
The choice of which “god almighty” to follow is important, they say. So it behooves us to think about it! In fact, that is the biggest choice on the planet! Do you want a mere “god”? Or do you want the real One? (There actually is only One, the Bible says.)
The biggest choice we all make, one way or another, is:
Are you going with God?
Or:
Are you maintaining your course on the road to the eternally bad place? (It really is a real place!)
Just beyond the veil
In essence, there are only two choices before we die in-place. 1 We don’t stay in that place where and when we die. We go to the ground (our body does), but ultimately we (our eternal soul) go to where God Himself determines we are to go.
You’ve got to be good with that, because He is the One who made us “…not we ourselves.” (Psalm 100:3)
When you get right down to it, you are the one that chooses: Your Way or God’s Way. Which way is it going to be? Which way are your feet walkin’?
Two Roads.
We are natural born sinners on a road away from God. You can stay on it, and end up far, far away. But God wants all to be saved (John 3:11-18). 2
What road are you on? There is a way that leads to destruction (Matthew 7:13), and there is a way that leads to God’s Kingdom (John 3:16-17).
saving knowledge
* saves you for all eternity
* frees you from bondage to sin
* gives you the legal right before God in His Kingdom – to be called His own
versus…
the knowledge which does not save you (such as what false teachers teach)
* keeps you under condemnation
* keeps you bound in your sinfulness
* gives you no legal rights whatsoever – before Creator God

You may not feel like you’re walkin’ “down”, but you’ll sure as Hell know it when you get there! The road to hell is like any other road, except The Jesus Road. So you don’t really have to be that discerning to find your way …eventually all the way to Hell. There are innumerable ways to go “down”. You going “down”?
I know you’ve probably heard it said that “I’d rather be with my friends in Hell”, but… you might want to reconsider that view. “Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like Hell.” And you DO NOT want to go there.
You don’t “go to Hell in a handbag”, as someone said. You go to Hell all alone.
The choice is yours, of course. Go to Hell. That is certainly one choice, granted. But, the road called The Jesus Road will certainly take you to a better place. Guaranteed. Go to Jesus. Jesus’ word is sure.
Do you know God? Knowing Jesus is to know God.
Many religious people have missed the road to Heaven. They were sincere and committed, but not “in Truth” – to Jesus. Many so-called Christians lacked just one thing.
They all took a short-cut, or found themselves on some broad and gorgeous avenue they just could not bear to leave. And so, they took that much more traveled road.
Our choice is between: The rarely taken straight and narrow — and — the busy Broad Way. You’ll have to die for either choice. Where you going?

The Message of Salvation spoken by Jesus to Paul
The Roman Road …The Roman Road to Salvation is simply a compilation of verses in the book of Romans that clearly explains the message of salvation in Christ.
When Jesus had spoken these things, He raised His eyes to heaven [in prayer] and said, “Father, the [a]hour has come. Glorify Your Son, so that Your Son may glorify You. 2 Just as You have given Him power and authority over all mankind, [now glorify Him] so that He may give eternal life [b]to all whom You have given Him [to be His—permanently and forever].
3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God, and [in the same manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent. 4 I have glorified You [down here] on the earth by [c]completing the work that You gave Me to do. 5 Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory and majesty that I had with You before the world existed.
6 “I have manifested Your name [and revealed Your very self, Your real self] to the people whom You have given Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept and obeyed Your word.
7 Now [at last] they know [with confident assurance] that all You have given Me is from You [it is really and truly Yours]. 8 For the words which You gave Me I have given them; and they received and accepted them and truly understood [with confident assurance] that I came from You [from Your presence], and they believed [without any doubt] that You sent Me.
9 I pray for them; I do not pray for the world, but for those You have given Me, because they belong to You; 10 and all things that are Mine are Yours, and [all things that are] Yours are Mine; and I am glorified in them.

- John 3:11-18 11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.[a] 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,[b] 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”[c]
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
