When Jesus taught on earth in Judea, thousands heard and listened to Him. A few believed in Him. And some recorded what He said (in writing of course). Jesus’ teachings became what we call “the Gospel of Jesus Christ“.
When a person deviates from that true Gospel – it is then “a different doctrine”, not the same as what Jesus actually taught. There actually are church pastors teaching worldwide what they feel are new revelations from God. They pervert Jesus’ teachings. Want to be found following them when Jesus comes again?
They are changing the original teachings of Jesus because of their supposed “new revelations“. That makes them “apostates“, because God’s words never change.
The Gospel of Jesus that we follow as born again Christians – is found explicitly in the first five New Testament books, and then by Peter, Timothy, Jude, and James. I like to say, “If your doctrine differs from that of “the five”, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul, then you have strayed from the “the One”, the message of salvation spoken by Jesus to the murderer Paul. See His actual words in Acts 26:14-18.
Paul was knocked off his horse by a blinding light from the sky. (Read his story.) What will it take for you to turn around and follow Jesus?
Different Doctrines… differing from the true Gospel
Differing doctrines (the doctrines that differ from “the sound doctrine” taught by “the five”) are false doctrines, not to be followed. Scripture warns that this falseness will grow in the End Times.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts,
THAT predicted End Time coming? It has come. It is now time. We are in it, and things are going to heat-up real quickly (2 Timothy 3:1).
It is of dire importance that you not follow false doctrines. They lead away from true faith in Jesus.
Matthew 7:13-14
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it.
14 But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.
There is no other saving gospel
The only Gospel that saves us for all eternity — is the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus. Jesus is the Godman who was born a “Godman-baby”, lived as the Godman for 33 years, died as the Godman, and rose from the dead because He was the Godman.
Don’t let Bethel and others convince you that Jesus was not both in one — both God and man in one person while here on earth. They teach Jesus was a mere man all throughout His life here, and died as a mere man. That type of “gospel” will keep you on the road to destruction. Galatians 1:6-9.
False teachers are empty suits that have no saving grace. They lead you on the road of deception and destruction.
1 Timothy 6:3-5
3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine and teaching which is in agreement with godliness (personal integrity, upright behavior),
4 he is conceited and woefully ignorant [understanding nothing]. He has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, which produces envy, quarrels, verbal abuse, evil suspicions, 5 and perpetual friction between men
who are corrupted in mind and deprived of the truth, who think that godliness is a source of profit [a lucrative, money-making business—withdraw from them].
they will turn away
from truth — to myths
Different Doctrines …differing from the true Gospel
1 Timothy 1:3-7
3 As I urged you when I was going into Macedonia, stay at Ephesus
that you might command certain men not to teach a different doctrine, 4 and not to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which cause disputes, rather than God’s stewardship, which is in faith—
5 but the goal of this command is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith, 6 from which things some, having missed the mark, have turned away to vain talking, 7 desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say, nor about what they strongly affirm.
2 Timothy 3:1
But know this: that in the last days, grievous times will come.
1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts set Christ apart [as holy—acknowledging Him, giving Him first place in your lives] as Lord. Always be ready to give a [logical] defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect.
The real deal
Always be ready to explain “The real deal”.
“Account for
the hope and confident assurance
[elicited by faith]
that is within you”
– 1 Peter 3:15
This is the hope we have:
Titus 2:13-14 NASB version
“13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of [a]our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds“
The Amplified says it this way:
Titus 2:13-14 Amplified
13 awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
14 who [willingly] gave Himself [to be crucified] on our behalf to redeem us and purchase our freedom from all wickedness, and to purify for Himself a chosen and very special people to be His own possession, who are enthusiastic for doing what is good.
We are saved, simply and only, through sincere and truthful repentance and confession, believing in — Jesus, the God who came down to earth as a baby human – who was at the same time God Almighty. Oh how marvelous!
“A whole lot of “accepting”
is going on there
in that moment in time…
“when you (if you did), or I, said,
“I accept Christ as my Lord and Savior”.
Are you aware of
what-all it actually requires
to truly “accept Christ”?

I want God’s message – clean and unadulterated. And, because He is all-knowing, He does not change his mind. No word of today can ever change His Word already given. The Bible is solid ground. “All other ground is sinking sand.”
It’s crazy how so many have tried in the past, and are still doing it – “re-interpreting” or discovering some “personal or special” interpretation, attempting to legitimize a new creative way to have it their way. If that is happening in your church – don’t believe it. Just walk away.
