Forgiveness by God
The forgiveness Jesus offers us is the most costly element in the entire universe. Got a grasp on that?! Not silver, not gold, not precious metals. It’s the forgiveness by God. So we mustn’t take it lightly.
Forgiveness by God cost God. Dearly. Jesus had to die (John 3:13-16). And that is what makes forgiveness the most costly element in the entire universe.
There really is not anything more valuable than the forgiveness of God. In His unmeasurable love, God volunteered to die so that we might live. That is love!
“Tis dearness only
that gives everything it’s value.”
– Thomas Paine, “The Crisis” 1
Forgiveness by God is offered to us only during this one life span on earth. You’ve got to pay attention, put a lot of thought into this:
Today is your chance to choose.
Tomorrow may never arrive for you. When it’s over — it’s OVER!
No forgiveness by God – no salvation by God.
No salvation – no sonship.
No sonship – condemned forever.
Condemned forever – citizen of Hell.
Citizen of Hell – “life” forever
with no good of any kind.
What a spiral downward that is!
Once you have received forgiveness by God – then everything changes. Once you get IT — IF you get it (and that is a huge IF, since most people get onto the wrong road), then, in that instant of forgiveness — you are rich beyond your wildest dreams.
It most certainly “pays” to get it. Got IT?
See: The Moment of IF
Being rich in God’s Kingdom
How rich? How rich is it – being rich in God’s Kingdom? We cannot grasp how “rich”. It is just way beyond us to comprehend.
This is what God promises. When we have His forgiveness:
- We become a part of the family of God.
- We become heirs, co-heirs with Christ (Heirs: Romans 8:17; Galatians 3:29; Titus 3:7).
- We are given an inheritance,
- secured (better than Norton Cyber Safety!) against all that would try to take away our forgiveness by God (Romans 8:28-39).

Be the far-sighted wise one
Don’t be the foolish one that builds his house on the shifting sands of mere human thought and religions created by mere mortals. Do you want to have a foolish person (yourself) decide your eternity!? Not!
Instead, be a wise person, “far-sighted, practical, and sensible“: build your life on the sure foundation of Jesus. After all, Jesus is Creator God, Master of the Universe, the Godman come down from Heaven. 2
We cannot fathom the awesome nature of God. We cannot even fathom His awesomeness, much less His nature. He is beyond knowing, the most highly Awesome One that can ever be conceived.
And yet…
At anytime in your life anyone can go to Creator God in prayer with anything, anywhere. Just bow and talk to Jesus. He hears you. “Now” is the preferable time, since “later” may never come.
God forgives all, forgets all, and accepts you forever – IF you come to Him in sincerity and truth. It’s that simple. – Source: Forgiveness by God
Sincerity and truth.
Got that for God? He requires it. Believe Him with all you got, and He will take it from there. He does not require anyone to clean-up before kneeling in repentance. He will forgive you just like that. THEN He starts His never-ending work inside you. Just – like – that. There really is no other way, Jesus said.
6 Jesus said to him, “[a]I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” – John 14:6
Don’t fret your sins. Confess them. Confess them for what they actually are: sins heinous to our holy God. He forgives the sincere and truthful who admit to Him their sins. Like the woman caught in the act (of adultery), Jesus does not condemn those He forgives. In Colossians 2 He tells us: “Go and sin no more.” 4

The forgiveness Jesus offers us is the most costly element in the entire universe. God, the most highly Awesome One, , lowered Himself in the form of the God-man Jesus to become one of us, a puny human – in order to make His forgiveness possible. With that special forgiveness we are granted entrance into His Kingdom. What a plan of the ages!

46 “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not practice what I tell you?
47 Everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words and obeys them, I will show you whom he is like:
48 he is like a [far-sighted, practical, and sensible] man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and yet could not shake it, because it had been securely built and founded on the rock.
49 But the one who has [merely] heard and has not practiced [what I say], is like a [foolish] man who built a house on the ground without any foundation, and the torrent burst against it; and it immediately collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.”

Put On the New Self
3 Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. 3 For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, [a]appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5 So put to death and deprive of power the evil longings of your earthly body [with its sensual, self-centered instincts] immorality, impurity, sinful passion, evil desire, and greed, which is [a kind of] idolatry [because it replaces your devotion to God]. 6 Because of these [sinful] things the [divine] wrath of God is coming [b]on the sons of disobedience [those who fail to listen and who routinely and obstinately disregard God’s precepts], 7 and in these [sinful things] you also once walked, when you were habitually living in them [without the knowledge of Christ]. 8 But now rid yourselves [completely] of all these things: anger, rage, malice, slander, and obscene (abusive, filthy, vulgar) language from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old self with its evil practices, 10 and have put on the new [spiritual] self who is being continually renewed in true knowledge in the image of Him who created the new self— 11 a renewal in which there is no [distinction between] Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, [nor between nations whether] [c]barbarian or [d]Scythian, [nor in status whether] slave or free, but Christ is all, and in all [so believers are equal in Christ, without distinction].
12 So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper]; 13 bearing graciously with one another, and willingly forgiving each other if one has a cause for complaint against another; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so should you forgive. 14 Beyond all these things put on and wrap yourselves in [unselfish] love, which is the perfect bond of unity [for everything is bound together in agreement when each one seeks the best for others]. 15 Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. 16 Let the [spoken] word of Christ have its home within you [dwelling in your heart and mind—permeating every aspect of your being] as you teach [spiritual things] and admonish and train one another with all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus [and in dependence on Him], giving thanks to God the Father through Him. – Colossians 3:1-17.
