Replace simplistic rhetoric with compassion Excerpt: The passing of time and it’s day after day routine can wear away our awareness of where we are personally in our relationship with God. Our defenses get let down, and “little sins” can somehow become legit in our thinking.
And soon we can become dismissive of evil around us. And our compassion for others may wane. We may dismiss others outright. We have no love left. Simplistic rhetoric takes the day.

Satan is the big accuser. Jesus Himself calls Satan a liar and deceiver. 3 I refuse to accept Satan’s lying accusations against me. I refuse his false depiction of me. I am not what he says I am.
I am what God says I am. God says I am a brand new creature — in Christ. I am not the sum total of all my sins. Why? Because all my sins are gone gone gone gone. “I didn’t really know the Lord in my youth, but the Lord brought me a cassette tape of Keith Green while I was suffering shame, abuse, self hatred and self injury. A little disabled girl gave it to my mom at the school she worked at. My mom said she doesn’t like music, but knew I did, she had no idea what as on that tape. This song, and many other Keith Green songs. I played that tape til it broke. The Lord ministered so deeply to me. I didn’t understand what it meant to follow Jesus then, and made many mistakes after that. But as a hound of Heaven, He pursued me again and again until finally at age 24 I said that I would follow Him all the days of my life and never turn away. At age 51 I can say that He has empowered me by His Spirit to be faithful to Him and in this very tumultuous time of COVID 19, He hasn’t changed, there is no turning in Him, He is faithful to save to the uttermost ends of the earth! That’s why He died and rose again, and in a couple of weeks we will have an Easter season like never before. Lord Jesus, Your will be done on the earth as it is in Heaven! Amen!@danalaw4466

I saw Keith Green in concert shortly before he passed away. He was encouraging us Christians to go on the mission field with YWAM and l heeded the call because of the Holy Spirit speaking through him. I’m forever changed and forever grateful because of his inspiration in my life. The “No Compromise” album l cut my teeth on as a young Christian. It literally changed my life. It helped me to become serious about my faith. I started my faith journey 50 years ago. God help me to persevere to the end! Thank you God for your loving kindness. - John
