Forever forgiving – for God’s sake!
Is malice perpetually active in your heart, in your mind and in what you do and say every day… bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding, slander, all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence? (Ephesians 4:31-32)
Hating is life changing – eternal life changing. Scary thought.
It’s a scary thing to habitually hate. In 1 John 3:14 we read, “He who does not love remains in [spiritual] death.” Also 1 John 4:20 says we can’t love God if we hate our brother. Do you think you can enter Heaven — if you don’t love God?
Calling out false teachers
Part of the mission of Christ’s followers is to teach the way of Christ – and to warn when someone is teaching “another gospel” different from what was written by the faithful early church. “Warning” about false teachers and false teachings — is a good thing we do. It is what “a good servant of Christ Jesus” does.
