Satan blinds the eyes of seekers, those who want to know more about the Creator, those who wonder, “Could it be God who made all this?” And he takes away. Satan “takes away the word” which is sown in their hearing.
- Luke 8:12 Those by the way-side are those who have heard, and then the Devil comes and carries away the Message from their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
(WEY) - Mark 4:15 Those who receive the seed by the way-side are those in whom the Message is sown, but, when they have heard it, Satan comes at once and carries away the Message sown in them. (WEY WBS)
- Luke 8:5 “The sower,” He said, “goes out to sow his seed; and as he sows, some of the seed falls by the way-side, and is trodden upon, or the birds of the air come and peck it up. (WEY)

“(L)God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 7 (M)Submit therefore to God. (N)Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 (O)Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. (P)Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and (Q)purify your hearts, you (R)double-minded. 9 (S)Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 (T)Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. –James 4:6-10
