“Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb….” – 1 Peter 1:18-21 The Message (MSG)
It’s your life. So what are you doing with it?
Is your life useless, still? Content with hang-dog living, “anything BUT sold-out to Christ“? Still in “that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in…“?
Still living in a loop hole? Or are you living it to the max – with eternal values in view?
I refuse to live a useless life. You know what I mean. A “wood, hay, and stubble” life (Stubble: 1 Corinthians 3:12 King James Version).
How about you?
Now to Him who is able
to keep you from stumbling
or falling into sin,
and to present you unblemished
[blameless and faultless]
in the presence of His glory
with triumphant joy
and unspeakable delight
– Jude 1:24
Make that useless life — your former life. Leave it behind. It’s never too late to turn your life around. Give it your all:
And he replied,
“You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart,
and with all your soul,
and with all your strength,
and with all your mind;
and your neighbor as yourself.”
– Luke 10:27
I can. You can – by looking to Him.
I can do all things
[which He has called me to do]
through Him who strengthens and empowers me
[to fulfill His purpose
—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency;
I am ready for anything
and equal to anything
through Him who infuses me
with inner strength and confident peace.]
– Philippians 4:13
I know it is worth my while. Heaven’s gate awaits. I want to make it worth His sacrifice for me.
“It cost God plenty
to get you out of that dead-end,
empty-headed life
you grew up in.
He paid
with Christ’s sacred blood, you know.
He died like an unblemished,
sacrificial lamb….”
– 1 Peter 1:18-21 MSG

1 Peter 1:18-21 Amplified Bible (AMP)
18 For you know that you were not redeemed from your useless [spiritually unproductive] way of life inherited [by tradition] from your forefathers with perishable things like silver and gold,
19 but [you were actually purchased] with precious blood, like that of a [sacrificial] lamb unblemished and spotless, the priceless blood of Christ.
20 For He was foreordained (foreknown) before the foundation of the world, but has appeared [publicly] in these last times for your sake 21 and through Him you believe [confidently] in God [the heavenly Father], who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are [centered and rest] in God.
