Any and all may come to Jesus for salvation. God is not just calling some. God is calling all people to repent and follow Jesus. From there we continue our journey with “all the privileges and rewards of a new life with Him”.
Whosoever
Jesus said, “Whosoever will – may come”. See all in one link or: Revelation 22:17, Matthew 7:24, Matthew 10:32-33, Matthew 16:25, Mark 8:34-35, James 4:4.
“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them,
Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” – Mark 8:34
The matter of me and God
God is asking all, individually, to repent. Whosoever really wants to – can receive God’s free gift of pardon before it’s too late (Hebrews 9:27). It is a matter between you and God, “only me and God”. – Source: Still so dull?
…there is the matter of me and God. The first step to discovering God is wanting to. He is there, but I’ve got to want to know more about Him. I choose to – or not. – Source: Want it
“Draw near to God
and He will draw near to you.”
– James 4:8
The Cost of Salvation – for you and me
Getting saved is freely given by God. Jesus said, “I give them eternal life”.
But receiving salvation will cost you. Have you decided to truly pay the cost — and follow Jesus?
27 Now while Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed (happy, favored by God) is the womb that gave birth to You and the breasts at which You nursed!”
28 But He said, “On the contrary, blessed (happy, favored by God) are those who hear the word of God and continually observe it.” – Luke 11:27-28
It is only “those who hear the word of God and continually observe it” that have arrived.
Excerpt:
The message of God to us His creation is that Jesus came down to earth from His throne in heaven in order to satisfy God’s justice. Our sinful rebellion against His ways has put us under judgement by God. And only a sinless replacement could allow God to save us from His condemnation.
Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior? Only He can save. Are you one of these?
“…whoever believes and trusts in Him…“
– John 3:16
Believing and trusting in Him involves total belief and total trust. It means giving all of you – for all of Him.
Nothing less is good enough for our Holy Holy Holy God. Believe and trust in Him.
