Adapted Excerpt from How much is heaven worth to you?
I am a follower of Christ.
Are you “following”?
Jesus saved me. I’ve been redeemed:
FROM a lost state…
TO a forgiven state.
I’ve been made ready by God for Heaven. Do you think you are saved, ready to meet your Maker?
Being BAD or GOOD is not the issue in salvation… so what is it?
Salvation in Christ is not essentially about sin. God does not save you because you clean up, throw away your sin, love others enough, or because you are able to stop sinning.
Stop sinning? No. You cannot stop! True, in Christ we are no longer slaves to sin (Romans 6:6), but, the old nature persists (1 John 1:5-10) and we fall.
Being a sinner
Salvation is about your yielding to Him in repentance. Jesus took care of sin – on the cross. The penalty was paid. Jesus paid it all! That is not in question. He’s got you covered there (“covered” as in: available for you).
He’s got all the world covered there! (Not as “universalism” teaches, but as revealed so clearly by John the disciple in his writings, John 3:14-21).
“Whosoever will may come.” But only those who actively receive His free gift – become actively saved in that moment of acceptance. There is no such thing as passive acceptance. Sinners must repent in order to receive God’s salvation.
Yielding your will
The crux of the matter for salvation is — your will:
*Are you ready to bow your will to Him?
*Are you willing to acknowledge the holiness of Christ, and in confession and repentance give Him your life?”
Sin is not the issue in salvation. Christ expects 100% of our heart given over to Him, not 100% sinlessness. We are to strive for holiness, but, until we get to heaven and are given a new body – we will struggle with sin. (See James 1: verses 5-10)

Following the Shepherd
When Jesus saves, sinners begin a journey of following the Shepherd (Titus 2:11-14; Romans 7:1-8:17). You following Him? Are you “enthusiastic for doing what is good“(v14)? Following does that to you.

The Gift by His Precious, Undeserved Grace Excerpt:
God is asking you to repent. Accept Him and be born again, be made brand new inside.
When it comes to repentance for salvation – Jesus is all inclusive. He will accept any truly repentant sinner of any vile stripe. You name it, He will forgive. But His is a limited grace. Don’t try to squeeze-by in His courts of justice.
-
- His grace is limited by time: once your time is up… His grace cannot save you.
- His grace is limited by your heart: if your heart does not let you repent and turn to Him… His grace will not impose itself.

In Support of Those Who Changed Their Minds | By Roger Simon | roger.simon@epochtimes.nyc | July 28, 2023… a secular view about changing
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”
