In 1 Kings 13 we are told the story of a man of God. He obeyed God, then disobeyed Him because an experienced old prophet (v11) lied to him (v18), misleading him (v18). An interesting read.
The false prophet claimed words from an angel, saying:
“I too am a prophet, as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying…”
So the first prophet followed the false prophet, disobeying God’s Word to him. The consequence of his disobeying God were quite startling:
Verse 24 Now when he had gone, a lion met him by the road and killed him, and his body was thrown in the road, with the donkey standing beside it; the lion was also standing beside the body.”
This was all orchestrated by God, as we can see by the restraint put on the lion:
Verse 28 …he went and found the body thrown on the road, and the donkey and the lion standing beside the body; the lion [miraculously] had not eaten the body or attacked the donkey.”
Today experienced “prophets” speak falsely (lie) to us also, as in the day of King Jeroboam (1 Kings 13).
* Pew sitters in apostate churches speak falsely, purporting to speak “a word from the Lord”, but then speak their own words. They exercise a gift they were told they had (or claimed it themselves) – but then fake it, make-up words of their own to say what they think should be said.
* Prophets prophesy falsely, like the new apostate charismatics did (NAR types like: Kris Vallotton, Shawn Bolz, and Jeremiah Johnson) predicting Trump would win (but Trump lost).

Lying under oath like Fauci
The Apostle Paul warns us to examine what a prophet says. Is it biblically accurate? Then, choose to obey God rather than man.
These so-called “prophets of God” are lying under oath (like Fauci). Think God is pleased with these prophets? Is God pleased with pew sitters who follow the false speakers, practicing sin?
Be Bereans
We must study Scripture like Bereans (but maybe with an online Bible), or we easily fall prey to wolves dressed in sheeps’ clothing. The lion (the lying Devil) is prowling around for you. Beware.
Acts 17:10-11
Now these people were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
1 Peter 5:8
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
There are consequences for obeying false speaking pew sitters, false prophets, false teachers, and false apostles. Disobeying God? Want to go there? I for one — will stay away. I will obey God — rather than mere humans speaking mere human words, especially false ones.

Experience and Feelings
Do you follow your feelings and experience, and the experience of others – rather than what God has already told us in the Bible? If so, you will most certainly wander into false teaching and false beliefs. And you will suffer the consequences of disobedience.
If you think …this way, but the Bible goes …that way — which way you gonna go?
Our practice should be to elevate the Word over experience.
